I’m not high on Schneids doing much of anything anymore. Zero confidence. Reuben just looks shell shocked now and has been manufacturing goals like a rubber factory during this stretch. So go with Schneids for at least the next week. No matter what happens with him. KK is a runaway train since the break. It’s more important to evaluate Schneids now than the player that definitely won’t play for the NJD after April 6.
I'm actually getting to the point where I'd be okay with never seeing him play a game for the rest of the season.

And I think he'd be okay with that also, because he might have an .885% save percentage on the season before the month of February ends at this rate.

anyone have that chico and cangi look-alike pic where cangi was a girl ?
I remember it very well, but haven't seen it in some time.
 What is this? I don't think I've seen it.
It was a picture with some old guy that looked a bit like Chico and a younger woman who looked like she could have been Steve's daughter.

It was used a lot around here from as far back as I can remember. Probably 11-12, when Steve first took over full time for Doc.

The girl was actually not too bad looking.

Haha oh ok, I vaguely remember something like that, so long ago.

So the 3 stars was Nico, MarJo, and BRAD F'N HUNT???

Why???

Bratt had 2 assists and played outstanding yet AN OPPONENT gets the 3rd Star on a DEVILS broadcast?

Holy under-appreciation, Batman.
The Devils broadcast doesn't pick the 3 stars. The attending media or someone appointed from the press picks them. They were the 3 stars of the game tonight. The Devils broadcast is just showing who the announced three stars were. And they always give a home team player at least one of them if it's a one goal loss and sometimes even in a 2 goal or more loss.

If any Wild player deserves one of the three stars tonight it was Dubnyk for the Devils. Or Kinkaid for the Wild.

Also nice about the win was that we were fighting the homer refs all night.

The Zajac goal they disallowed was a bad call. It wasn’t clearly over the bar, and he got it lower on the shaft of the stick while ducking.

The cross checking call on Sevs in the first period that led to their first goal was a cheapie and a dive by the opposing player.

And they missed at least two other blatant calls on the Wild. One was Nico getting hauled down around our blue line a little bit after Palms power play goal. They didn’t want to keep calling the home team and put their whistles away.

Would love to see Parisi, Granlund and Suter miss the playoffs.

That’s gotta be Steve’s face photoshopped. The resemblance is ridiculous.
Haha. She almost looks Russian or of some Eastern European descent.

She has a distinct nose, much like Steve does, but it's doesn't look exactly like Steve's.

She appears to have brown eyes or possibly hazel. They definitely aren't light. Without looking at Steve, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say he has brown eyes also. She appears to be much more pale than Steve, but it could be the lighting and Steve may even use a tanning bed (although he doesn't appear to be THAT tan, but a lot of TV personalities do use them).

Wonder who turned this game off at 4-1 tonight.... LOL.

I bet a few posters will be triple-checking their eyes when they open up the boxscore in the morning......

I never turned it on to begin with lol...needed frigging sleep cause I didn't sleep well last night. When I saw they won in OT I was bemused. Till I found out the actual details. I guess maybe the end of the nightmare had to come in relief after all.

It's ironic that 7 of the 9 goals in this game were anywhere from stoppable to just downright putrid and not one of them (or any goal) was on Cory.

I could probably pick from at least 2 or 3 of the Dubnyk goals for softy of the night or the last goal that got Keith yanked.

4 of those goals on Dubnyk were really bad. I think the only no-chance goals in this game were the Butcher goal on Dubnyk and the third Wild goal where there was a guy with his ass in Keith's face. The hardest thing is gonna be choosing softy of the night, but I gotta think it comes from this game, even though I've not reviewed the other 3 yet.

I can remember seeing other goalies play poorly (probably not this poorly this year) against us or one of our guys playing this bad, but this is the first time all season we've been apart of a game where both goalies gave up some real stinkers. There was a game a few weeks back (forgot what teams, think it was Lightning vs Rangers and one with Buffalo and somebody) where there were 5 goals scored in the game and I counted all 5 to be stoppable. 7 out of 9 is close to a season high, if not a season high for any game in the league this year.

By the way, there’s been at least one game where we won in Minnesota where Zach was really bitter in the post game comments. He once said something like “No disrespect to them but they had a lot of AHL call ups in the lineup tonight and this is unacceptable from us”.

I’d love to hear his sound bytes tonight. Especially after losing to a team that iced the likes of Rooney, Gryba and Gabriel, not to mention with Cory Schneider literally having not only his first win since 2017, but the first regular season game of any kind where he allowed zero goals. Even in his relief appearances he hasn’t allowed 0 goals in a game since probably his last shutout. Not including when he came in for relief in game 2 of the playoffs.

I think we’re 4-0-0 in our last four appearances at Minnesota. Last two wins came in overtime and we had a random win there in the 2016-2017 season, which might have also been a late comeback where we won on a late regulation goal from I think Beau Bennett.

I believe the first win of the four was that game that aired on NBCSN in 2015-2016 where the power went out to their truck and they lost the feed for several minutes. Including during the Jon Merrill game winner that nobody ever saw.

Just catching up on the highlights, apparently Dubnyk wss playing the role of Cory Schneider tonight. Between the MoJo and Lovejoy goals and the gaffe in OT I'm not sure what was worse.

Happy for Cory though, and Cangi's call was an instant classic. Now quick, trade MoJo and Lovejoy while their stock is high.

Did Zajac have a hat trick that game? Or am I thinking of a completely different game.

No, I think that game ended kind of low scoring. 2-1 or something. The only hat tricks I remember from Zajac were against Chicago (Miles Wood had one the next year in Chicago) in a game we lost and in a game that happened 5 years ago.

Come to think of it, I actually referenced the game Zajac had a hat trick in earlier in this GDT. It was against the Panthers and it was the same game where Marty got yanked, Cory came in and shut it down, but Cory didn't get credit for the win before the game winner was scored while Marty was still in there.

Zajac is only credited with 2 hat tricks on hockey reference. That game on 03-31-2014 that I just talked about vs Florida and 12-01-2016 in Chicago. We lost that one 4-3 in OT. Zajac scored all 3 of our goals that night.

I think Langenbrunner had a hat trick in Minnesota, but that was a LONG time ago. Probably in 08-09 or 09-10. I think Lemaire was coaching us, so it was probably 09-10.

Still remains the "Big Foot" of hockey moments.

Does it exist?
