Great. Now your team will be pissed off and playing with something to prove on Friday, against our backup.
Last time we thought that they followed it up with a loss to Detroit.

We gave up one last week
Last week in Tampa
And I know at least two people here who paid to see it.

The two big issues is they are mentally soft. A little adversity they fold like a cheap suit, and they go through long stretches of super sloppy defensive play.
Both those things feel at least partly blamed on coaching.
They can score. They can control play when they play with structure. They stray away from that too often and too easily.
If we trade cory, I bet they give kk the job..... but that's for another day down the line.
Speaking as a goalie, it's very hard to first get arhythm, and then maintain it, esp as a #1 when you go in and out of the lineup. If that's how the seaosn will be it will hinder BOTH kk and cory

The weird thing is that pretty much the exact same roster handled adversity much better last year. We had multiple losing streaks of 4 or more games, but always bounced back. Maybe the multiple losing streaks last year should have been a red flag, but that pushback just doesn't seem to be there this year for whatever reason. Hopefully it's just some inconsistency and this doesn't spiral out of control.
Haha I didn't eat anything! Got there too late to really get anything and would have missed puck drop. Lines are usually too long during intermission. I don't really eat much at games anymore anyway. I already spent a boatload of money on the game, and get to do it ALL OVER AGAIN in 2.5 more weeks! Was the food at the arena at least edible?
.910 goaltending might be too much to ask from him, considering he's a .909% goalie over his last 107 games going back to October of 2016. And it's like .907 or .906 if you shave off his very good October of 2016 or from the start of the dreadful Anaheim game in November of 2016. These numbers also include the playoffs last year. Doesn't look good for him. It's also possible that he might not even maintain those numbers and that he could be near 2013 Marty levels of finished. We'd need to see more of him to say for sure, as 2 starts mean nothing, but in the big picture those 107 games do say he's at least at 2010-2012 Marty levels of decline. We can't keep this up too much longer. If Cory doesn't find his game, at least a .910 game then that's it. He just flat out can't be allowed in the pipes anymore. He will cost us the season
But it's not just him. This team desperately need a stabilizing veteran defensive presence added in the offseason. Curiously none was. And we're suffering for it now. Shero was far far too inactive regarding bolstering the D.
I say Cory gets probably 5 more games to collect himself and show he can still play goal at this level. If he can't then hard decisions need to be made before the season gets away from us. We're going to have to trade for a competent goalie and it's going to cost us.
I think neither might be here next year. Shero might not want to lock up a (then) 30 year old goalie to multiple years, as it seems to be the antithesis of everything he's done in his time here, outside of Ben Lovejoy and a 2 year deal for Boyle. I expect Schneider is probably getting bought out after this year, unless he's on IR.This is where we disagree... I think once kk learned how to mentally be a starter he improved big time and has stayed pretty consistent (with the normal amount of clunkers mixed in). Do I think hes better then cory? Yes.
No matter who they decide to keep this goalie tandom will not be back next year.
Have you seen us at home, though? We're 4-5 and almost gave the game away tonight, while being unbeaten on the road.
We just got stomped by the Sens, you have nothing to worry about.
We lost to the Sens and are below .500/hardly score at home. I dunno.
Frankly, I'm right there with you, although still skeptical of Kinkaid as a long term starter. I think re-signing Kinkaid for multiple years to be the starter might be too risky, but he probably should be playing 75% of the remaining schedule. That would be 51-52 more games and he's already played in 12 of the first 13, so 65 games from him? I'm skeptical he's a 65 game guy, but he might have to be this year, then rectify this situation in the offseason. This is not something that changed my mind tonight, but I've thought that if Schneider had yet another .90-something season, that would be grounds for a buyout after this year. That would be 3 years of poor play, 33 years old after this season, at least one major surgery, already fired one goalie coach and brought his old one here, 3 years left on his deal. It's time to give up at that point. It's the same thing I ask, when is it too early to say that this is probably what Schneider is now?i really just want cory gone so we can give up the hope that he'll ever regain form and that the rest of the team knows who their starter is.
We know that feeling bro. HAHAHAHAHA.We lost to the Sens
I want Santini back to add some muscle to the back end. And Bratt gets back in to complete the second line.
Should be one exciting train wreck haha.
You're okay! For a Leafs fan!I look forward to it too. I hope it'll be a good game.
I like the Devils, but obviously will be cheering for my team. I just want to see one Cup .
Thanks for being fun to talk to
I don't know about best friends! Ahhh, what the hell?
