he is one of their best players ...who cares about his interviews

It's not that his interviews are bad neccesarily, it's more they're indiciative of the larger issue with him and the general leadership. No edge, no intensity, only empty cliches...just like the team itself, and the rest of the so-called leadership on the team. You need at least a bad cop in the room, whether it's coach or veteran leaders (preferably both). We have too many milquetoast guys and moody sulkers.

That Coleman Q&A should get a coach fired.

Should.

Several devastating sound bombs dropped in there that he says are "on the team", but are really "on" coaching at the end of the day.

Pretty blistering stuff.

A good coach would get more out of this roster then some of you think.

Unfortunately I'm not sure good coaches are available unless we're counting Guy as a good coach. What's available...is almost certainly better than the Hynes and Nas buddy show, but instead of going from MacLean to Lemaire it's more like going from a burnt-out Larry to Constantine. A short-term upgrade but not likely a long-term answer.

We need to fly Boyle in for the post games.

Was this the whole thing or just a PR-cut snippet?

Everyone keeps saying this, and you all seem to assume it has to be an NHL guy.

It doesn't.

Try to lure someone solid away from Europe.
Try to lure someone solid away from the NCAA (difficult admittedly).
Try to lure someone solid away from juniors.
Try to lure someone away from another team's AHL system.

Can't remember the last time I got home this early. Thanks to everyone who left early, that's the only positive I have to say about this game tonight.

Truth. We have the pieces they are just poorly utilized right now.

Bruins put on a clinic of how to play in all three zones while Devils consistently run around, most of the time with little purpose.

There are tons of good coaches, I despise the NHL old boys club mentality. Just find the coach that is the right fit for this organization, it doesn't have to be some recycled NHL guy.

I think at the point where you are going this out-of-the-box you go on a months-long search where that's a top priority to line up for next year and name someone interim for now, hope for the best, tank for the worst (best?)

Don't get me wrong, there could be and likely is good NHL coaches out there that we just don't know about, but it's all a mystery box when you're talking about non-NHL guys. Granted if we were playing that dopey let's make a deal game on the jumbotron I'd gladly take 'mystery box' over Hynes and Nas at this point, but mystery box and improving over Hynes isn't the same thing as finding a good coach.

There are so many things wrong with this team that I don’t even know where to start .
1.Team is predictable and easy to play against
2.PP is garbage
3. Hall is playing like he doesn’t want to get hurt. He has been checked out fir weeks now .
4. Goaltending (besides a handful of great games by Blackwood ) has been garbage
5.Every player is under achieving (looking at point totals )

Not sure if it’s a terrible system or our players just suck ?
I don’t know anymore but the only fix is to fire this bald Pejorative Slur and his garbage assistants

How can none of the players go to Shero and say “ umm ya , this system is not working at all “

Can Shero not see this ? How can you watch the devils play and watch what other teams do and not think “ we are horrible , we need to change something “

I’m sick and tired of Hall just floating around pouting about wanting to be on a “contender “
Trade his ass already . We need a player as good as him , but MVP version Hall , not “ I give up and screw trying “ version of Hall .
Get a defenceman that can actually hit / clear the crease / play defence ( Zadorov )

Get someone who at least tries all the time , not just when things are going good

Sadly I consider not going to this game a triumph since I made other plans and was able to sell my pair for $30 at literally the last minute. Liquidation price to be sure, but it's more I'm just happy I didn't have to watch that crap.

yeah our roster really isn’t that good honestly

It's a lot better than it's shown:

Hall-clearly not the same after the injury and just looks like he doesn’t want to be here
I think he looks fine physically, how is he getting all those breakaways if he's not healthy? He's just playing like garbage.

Hischier-decent 2 way center but not a big time player
Thta's fine, he's still underperforming

Palms-PP specialist and that’s it
Bullshit, he's scored a third of his points on the powerplay over his career. That's not a PP specialist.

Bratt-nice player but nothing great
Another one underperforming what he did last year

Hughes-hasn’t looked like he’s ready for this league most of the season
Massive disappointment for such a hyped 1 OA. 1 point in his last 6 games, on pace for 40 points

Gusev-getting better each game, should be a solid player
Massive disappointment for the SKA sniper

Zajac-same old Trav
No, not the same old Trav, another underperformer

Coleman-solid middle 6 forward
Not so solid this season, another underperformer

Wood-comes and goes, decent bottom 6 winger
Not decent this year, another underperfomrer

Zacha-been ok, but a bottom 6 player
One of the few that hasn't been a disappointment, mostly because expectations were appropriately low

Simmonds-still useful for his role
Underperforming, on pace for 37 points

Greene-bottom pairing for most of the league but he’s still useful
Like Zacha, he's fine because expectations were low

Butcher-he’s not good
Plesae, last year he was excellent

Vats-an actual NHL defenseman who’d be 2nd pairing at worst for almost everyone
Our best player this year

Severson-he’s been fine, but nothing special
Huge disappointment after scoring 39 points last year, on pace for 17.

Subban-he’s been horrendous
One of the biggest dsappointments

Mueller-bottom pairing player
Like Greene and Zacha, low expectations. The problem is not Zacha Greene, and Mueller, it's that the rest of the team is playing like those three.

We have no big time scoring threat, no offensive threat from the blue line, no #1 center, and no physicality up front or on the back end.
We have the talent on the roster for all of these things, except the physicality, but there are good teams in the league that are also soft.
