I've always viewed Merkley the same way I viewed players like Seney and other AHL'ers : Just there.

But what he's shown me is that he can pass the puck well which puts him a notch above the rest.

Merkley has skills and plays with a lot of intensity and grit what hurt him was he had injuries coming up with Yotes....Way he plays all out you wouldn't know it that he had them he plays with no fear.....

I think it would be between Butcher and Merk. Merk has that Palms “needs more minutes” vibes that a new team might be looking for.

Johnsson and Butcher have contracts that make them assets with negative value, unless they start playing insanely well in the remaining games. Unfortunately, I think that Seattle will take either McLeod or Bastian

I tend to think he doesn't play with enough intensity, at least not for a guy a bottom 6 guy.

Edit: Not that it is a great stat, but his hit stats are pretty good.

His shots per are also good, but they seem to be fairly quiet, whatever it is, he needs to get those goals up.

I don't know about this. Maybe it's getting lost in the blur but I'm not remembering a lot of bad decisions from Merk.

Went with Sharangovich, Bastian and Johnsson with honorable mentions to McLeod, Wood and Nico.

For all the third period goals, can't get past the first period and even in the third all the breakdowns in the defensive zone.

Aaron Dell probably deserves some acclaim as well for the Penguins not scoring 20 goals.
