Great win tonight! Larsson is looking better and better each game that I watch him play. However, this is has to be said...is there any scarier defensive tandem than Zidlicky and Volchenkov? I do not mean as in scary good, I mean as in every time I see them on the ice together some part of my lower body puckers up just a little tighter than usual
I think they've been fine.

Not when he's save money on texting his BFF cause he's in the same locker room. That's worth 2 cups right there.

Yea.. but wow.. this team with Parise? :naughty:

We'll do it without him anyways..

and NHL tonight crew still talking about how the Rangers are going to win the cup

these last few games is finally larsson coming off as advertised, this kid is going to be a complete stud.

Larsson was a rock defensively, especially at the end of the game. Solid stick work and great positioning. He just continues to impress me more and more.

Yep. I just went back and watched this again for old times sake:

Beautiful.

This team is looking so good, I don't think any trade deadline additions will be required.

We won't be riding this high all season. I just hope we're not peaking early. Lou will make the tweak that's needed, I have faith.

Zidlicky - Volchenkov might be the best third pairing in the league.

Don't kid yourself. Devils teams have flown really, really high a lot over the last few years. It will go up and down. I personally hope we're slumping going into the trade deadline, to ensure that Lou has the impetus to add what we'll need.

I've been happy with Volch. He's been playing physical and he hasn't been bad on defense. Yes, he was responsible for a quite a few goals earlier in the year, but other than that he's been fine. But with the puck he scares me a little. Zidlicky gets beat a lot on D but he is very valuable at the point on offense and the PP.

David Clarkson is a monster. Seriously, he's classified as a cryptozoological creature.

Also, Adam Larsson is unreal. He's showing why he was picked fourth. He's already one of our best defensemen and he's only getting better.

I just can't get the word 'composure' out of my head. That Pens goal could have gotten in the Devils' heads, but they went right back to playing great hockey. I'm extremely impressed.

Kovy now with 5 points in 3 games. We all knew he would come around.

Zajac still struggling

He'll come around too. I'm not worried. Elias, Clarkson, Henrique, and Kovy are carrying the offensive burden right now, and the defence and goalies have opposing scoring on lockdown.

Zidlicky - Volchenkov might be the best third pairing in the league.

Well, let's not go crazy here. They're decent, and good for their role. Pairing the PK specialist and the PP specialist together actually works sometimes.

Poor Tallinder is never going to come out of the press box if the team keeps playing like this.

I think its unbelievable how much better our D is compared to just two seasons ago. All three pairings are solid. Greene-Larsson has been sensational so far too, this team is built from the net out for the first time in years. I have to give Lou Lamoriello props, he took a really awful D corps and turned it around very nicely.
