The prospect pool is in better shape than it’s been most of the last decade and that’s after a year of multiple quality graduations. We’re fine. Certainly not worth complaining about.

That list from 2011 should serve as a cautionary tale. We were all high on a lot of these guys at the time. Don't count your chickens until they bring it multiple years in a row.

Drunk Harris said they were “working on it” but it was noted he can’t resign for another year.

There is no reason to believe Hall will walk right now outside of old paranoia from past players.

It's also not like we're the Islanders who had no clear direction, no building, and are trying to convince our star player that things will be "different" by hiring a 75 year old set in his ways GM. I don't think Hall's best buddy is going to get together with him and "go home" to Calgary. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a brother playing in California either.

these are relatively established names - there are obviously younger choices available who just dont have that 22+ ATOI yet that I didnt catch, so dont rip me for leaving guys off.

Exact playstyles of these players I do not know and I am going off of numbers and reputation.

I think we need to be patient with the D. We have a full roster with lots of young guys who need to play.

If a good deal appears, sure you take it. I wouldn't be looking to go and overpay for someone though.

It is not top 10 after graduations. That's f'n ridiculous. There isn't one person left that projects as a top line forward or 1st pairing guy.

Clearly you don't even look at other prospect pools.

Not saying the Devs are in poor shape. Simply saying that claiming the Devs are top 10 currently (and "easily") post graduation is absurd.

You may be underselling Smith.

They're usually carried by players that should be NHLers but haven't stepped up. Previous prospect pool darlings consist of guys like Brayden Schenn, Jacob Markstrom, and more recently, Dylan Strome.

The top players don't stay as prospects long enough to make a difference.
