Over the last four years, Green's PP P/60 is 3.25.

That's 104th among defencemen that have played more than 100 games.

Kris Russell's is 3.14 over that stretch.

I'm not really sure why Edmonton acquired him yet, but I can confidently say it wasn't to help an already spectacular powerplay.

if he can still make a good pass out of his own zone and gets shots through on the PP, then this is a decent add. If even just for a more level of depth on RHD.

Maybe Green can play RW. Kidding, kidding... but not really.

I think it was about moving the puck. Guys like Russell can block shots and star fish but they need more guys to move the puck up.

Holland was always attributing his Redwings plummet Mike Green being injured.

So glad it wasn’t Jensen and a second like Wings fans were suggesting from the caps. Let’s be reality.

Holland must still love Green. Could see Holland extending Green to a cheap contract after the season. But Green is just what I find the Oilers need here.

Very good trade by the Oilers here.

Detroit has also been below league average all 4 years, 3 out of 4 years significantly worse than average on the powerplay.

Guy on a terrible powerplay gets little powerplay points, more news at 11.

Not a bad pick up for Oilers especially if they can make the playoffs (which they should).

This is a vet dman who stops bouchard from being in the NHL this year. I just hope there's more to address forward or I'll be pissed.

He can't. And is a defensive mess.
