Green's career really got derailed by injuries. He was terrific at one time. Guessing this goes really well or really poorly.

Kyle Brodziak is LTIR "retired" - his career his done. Not sure why he was included.

He announced his retirement last September but apparently hasn't dropped his retirement papers, yet. So, he still has a contract and is still on the roster.

That's 104th among defencemen that have played more than 100 games.

Kris Russell's is 3.14 over that stretch.

I'm not really sure why Edmonton acquired him yet, but I can confidently say it wasn't to help an already spectacular powerplay.

I think it was about moving the puck. Guys like Russell can block shots and star fish but they need more guys to move the puck up.

Detroit has also been below league average all 4 years, 3 out of 4 years significantly worse than average on the powerplay.

Guy on a terrible powerplay gets little powerplay points, more news at 11.
