There's no way this can be the new barometer. "We're embarrassing, but only once in a while now" is a pretty damn low bar to set.

Maybe it's not criminal this time? Plan is in action from brain trust and were well on our way to fyous years!

Man, becoming too easy to infer this kind of news purely from precedent and active topics

Sens supposed to name a President within weeks - gotta be Melnycks lawyer. How could they find someone so quickly?

honestly this would of been a good job for Rob Ford. He was more of a football guy but I could see him coming in, getting along with Eugene, enjoying the hot dogs and just settling into the chaos
Who would even take the job at this point. Cat is fully out of the bag now.

You can only have this job if you're willing to be a yes man and so that'll take anyone with any decent track record out of the running.

Shitty Eugene cronies like Nick R. are probably the most realistic.

Thought this quote was interesting....

One source says the company that vetted him on behalf of the Senators was a company Little had past dealings with, therefore it was not an independent evaluation.

If that's the case, the Senators have no one to blame but themselves. Or maybe they're going to go after that company.

Well if it was Lighthouse that did the headhunting, they definitely dealt with him in the past. He is quoted on their site as client praising them from his time with Shaw.

Lighthouse Search

Jim Little – Shaw Communications Inc.

Chief Marketing Officer
“We hired Lighthouse to work with Shaw Media on a senior level search with extremely specific requirements as this role was to help develop our long term strategy and vision for the business. We knew that there would be a finite talent pool to draw from but through Mark’s connections we were able to identify and engage strong potential candidates which resulted in a successful hire. I would work with Lighthouse again in the future”

I thought it interesting that they mentioned a second argument on 18 Feb, the night of Phillip's jersey retirement game with Mel Gibson in the owner's box..

Man you are really reaching here. Not surprising from you but still.

Terrible look for the franchise.

Just when you thought they were learning, they double down on the dictatorship instead.

Feels hopeless if they just fire the guy for having the balls to be honest.

Just thought I'd post a quick PSA, this thread is not intended as a place to go into deep dives for example on who is or isn't in the wrong/right wrt the firing, we're probably even straying a bit from the intent as it is. We have incident specific threads for that, and if they got locked there's a reason, so please don't continue here unless you are adding an additional incident.

The use of a potentially biased vetting company is acceptable as a new incident, rehashing discussions of the blowup/firing is not.
