Funny that none of the above was really what I took issue with.
It was more this:
Okay you are adding stuff I didn't say and/or exaggerating it.
If you wanted more information from what I said ask, instead of assuming.
Suggesting that they are poor in the playoffs yet escape criticism for it. Even though they've been at or very close to a PPG in every playoff season since 2007 (Daniel - 47/53, Henrik - 56/56).
Why only since 07?
Well because they were insignificant before then even as role players?
Or that Daniel is a -11 playoff performer in his career, including that -9 in the Canucks SC run, were if Dave Bolland had been healthy might not have happened either.
Or this:
Suggesting they collect points but add nothing else to the game of hockey. Even though they are positive possession players, at worst neutral defensively, kill penalties, are great leaders and role models for younger players, ect.....
So by saying that they are better fantasy players than NHL players I suggested all of of this....really?
We will agree to disagree here.
Or this:
Suggesting that they are only first line players by default (and throwing an extra shot at the organization all together, despite having the best prospect pool in years with high upside guys with Virtanen and Shinkaruk). Even though they have scored well above the average first line production (about 60 points) for 8 consecutive years until last year, which was a trainwreck write-off season in every way.
The Canucks have failed to develop replacements for them yes and they would be better served, and remembered , if they were allowed to take a lesser role on the team, they have lead the Canucks to what exactly in the post season?
No, it's not disagreeing with an opinion. It's you just being wrong but continuing to spew nonsense. All I ask is keep it on the Canucks board.
You look like you are disagreeing with the straw man you presented, the Sedins have utility, they have since their surprising breakout in the 05-06 season but they also have things missing from their resumes and Daniel isn't Hank either.
Hopefully for the Canucks, with their lack of top line depth, they don't lose hank for any period of time but if they do Daniel wouldn't do well.
Most of us have seen that this season, one Sedin has clearly slipped in his role.
It's kind of like the Crosby/Malkin thing they both look very similar in value but most people know which is the better and more important player.
