I struggle to come up with an explanation for this thread, but my initial findings suggest the following:

No legit second line threat to speak of either. Bonino has been great for the most part, but when there isn't anyone else offensively supporting that first line of course they're going to get all the attention.

Wrong.

Vrbata has 15 goals to lead the team and then there are six players with between 7 and 9 goals, 3 of whom are third and fourth liners. The Canucks' scoring depth is a large part of why the are playing so well this year.

thread was made in with intentions of attacking a Canuck player.

Daniel Sedin is one of the most consistent top line players in the leauge, and his contract ends in 3 years, he's also the only brothers in sports history to win a scoring title. You also cannot expect the management to low ball them any more, they earned their contract and have been taking paycuts to stay here. These guys also anonymously donated 1 million dollars to our local Childrens hospital.

I do not want to use this an excuse to attack other players, but if you want to truly look at bad contracts Dion Phaneuf, Jordan Eberle, who no longer tries after getting his 6 million dollar pay day, who is being outscored by Nick Bonino.

terrible thread.

Vrbata is on the first line, and while the team is getting good production as a whole out of the bottom three lines, the second line is not in any position to take scoring pressure off the top line, and they've been ice cold since an early hot start.

Doug and Max Bentley would disagree with that statement.

Daniel Sedin is currently tied for points with Alex Ovechkin, John Tavares and Jonathan Toews.

How is that relevant?
He has the fewest face off wins of all the players named, as well as the most deflected pucks into the crowd.
Remain objective or remove yourself from this topic please.

Since the Keith hit he's basically turned into a poor mans Henrik, doesnt have a shot anymore.

This is seriously the most ridiculous argument that exists in regards to hockey, runner up being that Matt Cooke somehow stole Erik Karlson's defensive awareness.

How is it a ridiculous argument? He didn't suddenly lose his shot, but he clearly struggles with the timing of it now. 30 goals in 72 games and a 13.1% shooting percentage leading up to the hit after 41 the year before and being a regular 30 goal scorer, then 36 goals in 156 games and an 8% shooting percentage since.

We all wish it was ridiculous. Danny really hasn't been the same since the Keith hit. 5 games was far, far too good for him. I've watched the Sedins since they were both newly spawned Swedish novelty items here, and there's a really striking difference before and after. That's shaping up as the tipping point for them even more than the Boston series.

And stupid, stupid thread.

They need something or someone to blame. It's not like other players after getting concussions, came back and be fine from it. Some even older... it obviously took Hossa nearly three years from the Torres hit to finally not be the goal scorer he once was since his shot has been off this year.

Now you're being ridiculous, you can't assume that anyone who had a concussion has the same recovery period, has the same symptoms and therefore should return to playing the same after they return. Look at Savard or Alberts, they both had concussions so why have their careers ended when others have returned.

The simple fact is that people might have the same injury, but suffer differently. If you asked Canuck fans about the play of Daniel after his injury, you'll get everyone noting that he's lost a bit on his shot. Now sniper's production usually falls off quicker than playmakers, but there's no doubt in my mind that the elbow by Keith hastened the effect on Daniel.

Or he's just getting older. Talk about excuses.

I think that age has definitely caught up with him, but it's caught up to him faster than it did to Henrik. He really hasn't looked like the same since then as a goal scorer.

He probably won't hit 20 goals again this season, which is disappointing.

Yeah dumb thread.

Daniel isn't the shooter he once was, but he is still an elite playmaker and possession player.

Knew he wasn't a 35-40 goal guy anymore but for his career he's really been a 25-30 guy. Wish he had a few more so far. Il be relatively happy if he gets to 20 goals and 75 points.
