Sounds like a done deal, coming from Federov.

Really, really pleased with this . . . and it'll end up getting covered over by the Kadri/Reilly signings. But this could easily be just as important.

Love the way management does stuff now!

The Zaitsev odds of landing with Leafs was or higher than Vessey.

Once Zaitsev is signed, sealed and delivered officially Lou can move on to more.

Zaitsev will be a great addition.

This off-season just keeps getting better and better. I hope we temper our expectations

This is an confirmed as it's going to get folks until TML twitter announces it :handclap: :yo:

Read the whole article "in russian" and since it's a fairly reputable paper and when couples with with quotes from Fedorov its gotta be a done deal

Now onto the draft lottery :naughty:

P.S. Interesting tidbit that he already speaks English, has been training with Gary Roberts for the last several summers alongside Steven Stamkos and Connor McDavid

Pretty cool that he's trained with Gary Roberts.

I guess our top 6 will look like this:

Marincin - Rielly
Gardiner - Zaitsev
Hunwick - Carrick

At one point I heard that Federov is working as a agent for some players playing for KHL - is that right?

I think you're confusing him with Larionov.

Federov played until 2013 and has been the GM of CSKA since 2014 I believe.

From the limited amount I have seen from Zaitsev, I LOVE how he sneaks in off the point for one timers. He will be great for our PP. Hopefully he has good decision making and doesn't get caught sneaking in too many times.

is Zaitsev getting a 3 year ELC? I thought for his age it had to be a 1-2 year ELC

I believe that's a research error from the writer of the article. ELC's typically are 3 years but in the case of Zaitsev, I don't think it can be more than a year.

Yeah that is what I thought, I am like...3 year ELC? He's 24...that's pretty crap money to commit to for 3 years compared to what he could make in the KHL. It didn't look right. Glad I am not losing it.

Think we get a top 4 d-man in the summer to play with Rielly

Rielly _____
Gardiner Zaitsev
Marincin Carrick
Harrington

Hunwick traded
Corrado waived/traded
