1. How good were they suppose to be this year?
2. Is there any real reason why he was fired other than the usually "he sucked"

I mean it is the KHL and we've seen guys fired during games, but I'm just curious what went wrong over there.

Canned after only 8 games, that's rough I wonder if he had some sort of guaranteed money as part of his contract. If not that really sucks going all that way for such a short stint.

He should have no problem getting employment in the NHL in some sort of capacity. He'll be fine.

Only if (when) the Oilers hire him. No NHL team bothered to hire him in any capacity BEFORE his disastrous GM tenure so I can't imagine anybody would be interested now. Then again, a team hired Chiarelli since NHL teams love their recycled trash so you never know.

People are treating this lightly, but Katz may create a position for him. He has always looked after the 80’s Oilers.
