As I said in the other thread, that’s good news...that’s 4-6 weeks or so...not the rest of the season or 4-6 months like Dumo last year...he’ll be back before the POs if we get there

Yeah, he didn’t say season ending, indefinitely or long term. It’s good news on the Sullivan scale and how Zucker looked. Maybe they announce surgery in a couple of days but right now it’s decent news.

Yeah if it’s a lower leg bone (whatever they’re called) but can just be set without surgery or a rod that’s probably better than what it could’ve been.

Whatever it is, even if he comes back this season, the injury will hinder the best part of his game, his speed.

The fact that Sullivan didn't say he was out for the year is a positive in my eyes.

Even if he's out like 2 months, that's still manageable.

NHL injury policy is ridiculous. I know the NFL system is there because of gambling (yuck), but it'd be fun if teams had to disclose injuries.

This is the best case scenario. Riikola was also out Longer Term so the fact that they didn't announce the actual injury or a months long time-line means he'll be out around a month or 2.

They could also not know how long he’ll be out yet. I assume there is swelling so that can take a few days before they really know what’s going on in there.

Manageable to get him back but unmanageable in a division where only the top 4 teams make the playoffs and the division is extremely tight.

Yep, longer term usually means 3-6 weeks.
