If Montreal trade Caufield i’m no longer a Habs fan. I haven’t been exited a prospect in foreve. He’s a can’t miss prospect to me.

First I agree with you, this kid is the real deal. So excited to have him.

But I'm just going to share that I had my heart broken so many times by this organization (Chelios trade, Roy trade, PK trade), I'm absolutely numb to what they do now.

I like him, but I think Bergevin won't hesitate to trade him to try to save his own ass. The Bergevin era has been an utter disaster, but I think the worst is yet to come.
I don’t like him, and would approve of his dismissal. But I have to say I disagree. I think if anything it took him a long time to learn and he seems to be improving.

But his learning the job should not have come at the expense of Price and Webers prime years.

If we traded a guy like Caufield or Gallagher for future considerations, I'm sure you'd be able to muster the necessary outrage and a degree of anger at least. Posting on this board is more for the hardcore fans and not the casuals.

That said, if you're indeed numb, I hope you're comfortable at least.

The NCAA season is split into 2 parts, as the schools run a Fall and Spring semester so in December they take a break as school is out so there won't be many games just odd ones here and there until the 2nd half starts in Jan. Usually the schedules get tougher as it becomes mostly conference games although Wisconsin has had a really tough schedule in the 1st half.

If you don't already work a hockey related job, you should.

He'll be moved as part of the Hall trade, just you wait.

The snow is just starting to pile up in the Okanagan. Needs another foot!

Big storm cycle rolling in this week, hopefully it comes for you. Revy forecasted for ~60-80cms over the next week depending on where you are looking. Fingers crossed!

/back to Caufield

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised...heck, Caufield traded for a superstar/elite who has one foot into retirement is probably someone I would expect more than Hall. Yeah, I'm like the other guy above...would not be surprised at all if MB traded away Caufield in the hopes to barely get into the playoffs, then get blown out. Hall may be too good for an MB haul actually... Heck, MB trading Suzuki for a has-been wouldn't surprise me either...or a rental... Really, nothing really would surprise me...EXCEPT if MB actually hit a home run on a trade...

I still remember Noble6 saying he’d no longer be a Habs fan if they traded Galchenyuk and yet ...
... Caufield has a skill that makes him an hler yesterday, he needs to work on his game just like any other kid/prospect, thing is, his shot is top 30 in the nhl right now... Not kidding at all btw (selection/accuracy/quickness/read)... he's at the very least a pp specialist and I'd bet a lot of $he's much more than a pp specialist, like a 30+ goalscorerfor at least half a decade...

I don't think Molson would let Bergevin trade Caufield. Remember that he went to watch one of his games in person earlier this season. When was the last time an owner went to watch a NCAA game of a freshman they just drafted? I think he has high hopes for him.

Let's leave Molson out of hockey decisions. If the right offer comes the Habs way, pull the trigger.

But obviously it's unthinkable that the right offer comes our way, especially given the potential the kid has.
