Nice little play here as well...
He is closer to Gaudreau than Pastrnak IMO, Pastrnak is a top 5 foward in the league, he is as dominant at even strength as he is on the PP while a guy like Gaudreau is more of a PP specialist than a great even strength player, not saying Gaudreau is a bad even strength player, but clearly the PP is his bread and butter.. Both Gaudreau and Caufield are undersized, they are very good skaters in term of agility, but clearly not speedsters out there, they are both very creative with the puck and have some magic hands, Caufield has more of a goalscorer mentality, but stylistically, I think there are some similarities.. I think Caufield will be a great PP specialist in the league, but just not as great at even strength and there is nothing wrong about this, you need different players to win games...I just hope Caufield can be our Pastrnak
looking forward to the day when Caufield, Suzuki, KK, and Poehling are all in the lineup.
Ya. Definitely hope we go BPA again.Hopefully we'll get another one in the draft this year.
Having said that, I would also welcome a talented Dman. Just as long as we add a talented player, regardless of position.

Yep surrounding him properly is the key here, if KK develops as a Barkov like player and that you have a big skilled power foward on the other wing, Caufield will have a fun time playing hockey here! Ideally, Lafreniere is the ultimate dream, but a kid like Holloway could be a very interesting option next draft, kid isnt that huge, he is listed ay 6"0 192 lbs, but he really is strong and playing like a powerfoward out there... Caufield and Holloway were playing togheter yesterday and had good chimestry, so they already know each other...Definitely going to be a PP specialist but remains to be seen how his game translates in the 5/5 area. Hope those young centers we have turn into impact players. Caufield will need someone to work with

100%! The key is how all those kids mature together. Our work is not done yet with the youth movement
We are taking the slow and steady approach where we slowly but surely suck all confidence and offensive talent out of our prospects.
We will see how that translates. For now, it's early. I just would like to see more darts for Timmins and we need to keep it going.
You can get all the darts you want but when the target moves unpredictably then you might be in trouble no matter how many attempts.
What do you mean about.. "target moves unpredictably"?
