#Habs Julien indicated that Lindgren’s presence will be more to give Price some practice days off to rest, as CP will be heavily relied upon for the rest of the season’s starts

We should not bury him alive yet. His last game in the NHL was the 17/03/2018. He let some sloppy rebounds but did amazing saves. Charlie just chill out don't be affraid of yourself.

I think he is a legitimate back up.

He did alright. Tough game. Toronto has a high octane offense and there wasn't a lot of D being played. First 2 goals, he definitely didn't get any luck going his way.

He has to be careful being too aggressive challenging players. He got caught twice on wraparounds because of it and it puts him really out of position if that player gets a pass across or decides to shoot for a rebound too.

Looked a bit awkward at times. I expect he's our back-up for next season. He looked better than Niemi anyways.

“As a goalie, you can't walk that opportunity to be able to shut the door and trying to help the guys win. So that's was great.”

“Yes of course. I mean for me I wanna do it kinda as a trial. It's been over a year I haven't been in the cages. Wanna show that I can do that for sure...”

“So, I felt good out there. Like I said before, it's an incredible place (Montreal) to play. Best fans in the league and really enjoyed it.”

“They were throwing many shots on me and it's really a good hockey team (Toronto Maple Leafs). Obviously, they're making the PO for the good reasons. Really good skills, really good talents. So it kept me on toes for sure...”

“You can look at the stats, you know people always going to have their opinions. I'm not gonna say that I had a perfect season (Rocket Laval) down there. But I'm not gonna worry about the numbers... I know I can play. There's no single doubts on my mind. I wanna play all the night, having a good addition and tryna show that I can definitely be here (Montreal Canadiens) next year...”

So Niemi won't be re-signed and Lindgren needs to pass through waivers if the Habs send him to Laval next year.

Doesn't look like McNiven (0.902) or Lindgren (0.884) are quite ready and Primeau likely needs a year or two in Laval. Do you roll the dice and hope one of the three can take the next step? Do you risk losing Lindgren to waivers?

I'm guessing the Habs are probably looking for an affordable 1 year stop gap UFA.

Here's the 22 available options that played at least 1 game last year. Am I missing anyone that played in Europe or the KHL who might be worth looking at? Perhaps Adam Reideborn from the SHL (Goaltender of the year last season.

From the above list, looks like Ryan Miller (0.912), Curtis McElhinney (0.912), Anthony Stolarz (0.901) might be worth looking at.

Also - Perhaps there's an opportunity like last year where we can acquire an overpriced Goalie from a team that needs cap space in return for picks or prospects

When Lindgren is sent down will he clear waivers? I predict not. The only saving grace might be his one way contract.

I don't think anyone claims him - he isn't a proven backup, and he's not really a top prospect at this point.

I like this response. He’s smart enough to know he hasn’t done enough to be a regular in the NHL yet and is motivated.

I can't stand for Lindgren anymore. Being caught off often on the wrong side of his net. He's losing his stamina very quickly. Choosing my games to be there live it's like a gamble for me. For the most part because of the goalkeeper turnover implemented. It reaches a point where I'm hoping he's not the starter.
