The dude has won ZERO Vezina's.

I don't know what everybody is so excited about.

Veini and Elvis are playing is Championship playoffs right now. Elvis against Frolunda. Veini against Zug(team that beat Elvis in final last season.)

Trey Fix-Wolansky at eliteprospects.com

Leading the WHL this season, was drafted in the 7th round this year.

Seems like a good snag, he turns 20 in May.

He looks like a stockier build than Bjorkstrand, no? TFW has more of an Atkinson look to me.

The final 3 goals scored by Frolunda were pretty soft. Especially that second goal where Elvis is trying to hug the post.. left way too much of a gap.
5 goals on 38 shots, other goalie faced 27.
And this is Veini(in black). Kept them at 2 goals on 27 shots and won (2nd was fluke). This is a movement and technique of NHL goalie. (there is not much of him in action in HL but i watched about 2 periods)

Gavrikov signed a new contract with SKA... till the end of the season. His old contract was till the end of the season as well. Sounds weird, I know, but it's the KHL after all...

Renegotiated rate, or something? I mean, we're all used to guaranteed contracts because that's how the NHL does it, but I for one have no idea if the KHL does things differently there.

Yeah, the KHL contracts can be changed or terminated at any moment, but only if both sides agree.

If only he didn't play for SKA, who are virtually guaranteed a long playoffs. He can come play for the Jackets right after the KHL season, no? If SKA missed the playoffs or were out in round 1, he'd join the Jackets in time for the playoffs and hopefully play that role that Ian Cole did.

Gavrikov will be a big help next season. Our D-core could be quite impressive

Murray/Werenski-Jones
Werenski/Murray-Savard
Nutivaara-Gavrikov

So Kole Sherwood went down to the ECHL along with Sam Vigneault.

That's disappointing considering his brother Kiefer is looking ok for the Ducks.

More disappointing for Vigneault. Who has had actual success in the AHL and was looking like an outside shot on the real roster last year.

Kole Sherwood isn't an NHL prospect.

Fix-Wolansky and Werenski on the same team would be problematic for Rimer. And if Wisniewski were still with the team...
