Let's do something we rarely seem to do around here. Optimistic, best case scenario - we could have a spine of PLD, Texier, Wennberg and Nash. This club could easily become this year's New York Islanders.

Because the Isles are without Lehner I agree. No chance they are last years Isles.

I think a more optimistic view would have Jenner as 3C. ? If Tex is a bona fide NHL C that bodes well for this year and the future.

I’ll get negative about a player or 2, or a coach per say , but generally I’ve very optimistic about the jackets . I felt we were a legitimate cup contender going into playoff push , and I’ve made it know that we make the playoffs this year, and have a really good team . Losing Bob was no big deal . I wish we could have kept Bread , but he values standard of living over winning

They certainly at least want to experiment him the in the middle. I think Torts said in his interview that he plans to try him there at some points, with or without Wennberg improving, so it would be nice if he's able to swim.

It'd be an "experiment" in the sense that whether or not he can do that job consistently at the NHL level is an open question.

Hasn't played C substantially (if at all) at the NHL level. It's an experiment, but one that I think should end well for him and the team.

Seeing much more of Vehvilainen this period... and he's looking pretty good IMO.

...and while I'm talking to myself about Vehvilainen, I have to say I'm also impressed with his puck handling. Not that that's necessarily a vital skill for a goaltender, but it's a nice bonus.
