I'm not overly concerned.
For a team this young and with so many injuries, going into the defending Cup champs building in Game 6 and beating them was a Herculean task.
I think they're learning how hard it is to win on the road in the playoffs.
Some Life Lessons don't come free
Celebrating and mocking a headshot by the official Twitter account of the team.Yeah, classy. Celebrating a headshot. In the regular season that would be a guaranteed suspension. I hate the entire Caps franchise, their fans, their media, etc. Had to listen to half a period of their radio guys last night. They're pathetic.
I feel like that will happen just by getting guys healthy.Half of the Canes forward group doesn't even make the Caps team and most of half that would has some kind of injury.
Canes need to take the Vegas route and add an entire 1st line this offseason (Patches, Stone, and Stastny) if they want to play with the big boys.
A follow through elbow to the side of the helmet isn't a headshot? Only in DC or Pittsburgh.Jesus that’s not a headshot. It’s a contact sport fellas. Tone down the whining just a hair.
**** it. Move on to game 6 in the friendly confines of pnc and take care of business. Worst case scenario we get to send the team off with a well deserved standing ovation for a successful season. Best case, push it to game 7 with some momentum.
Oshie dove? lol.A follow through elbow to the side of the helmet isn't a headshot? Only in DC or Pittsburgh.
And yet Oshie takes a dive, hurts himself, and we had snipers in the building taking out their players.
Crazy to think that the Caps have literally never won a Game 7 at home in their franchise history.
If we win Game 6 we have a real chance!

Ok so the cross-check to the neck is totally fine now.Jesus that’s not a headshot. It’s a contact sport fellas. Tone down the whining just a hair.
What crosscheck to the neck? On the Ovechkin-Foegele contact that is shown by the Caps Twitter account?Ok so the cross-check to the neck is totally fine now.
Maybe Foegele should have launched himself into the boards like Oshie and then a call would have been made
While I completely agree here I'd go a step further and say they need to get someone in a coaching role to take it out of Brind'Amour 's hands. Whether they want to call it assistant coach, special teams coordinator, deployment specialist, whatever- the pp is costing this team games and has been on and off for years, all under the direction of rod the bod. I think his leadership is a huge part of the team's success and I don't want to diminish his contributions but another set of eyes/ideas could be huge. As it is now, there is zero incentive not to attempt to injure the hurricanes- penalties are meaningless if you don't fear getting scored onThe off season should be strictly about getting mid range players that are good on the PP
(Zucarello, Hoffman)?
If we score on one of those PP chances, this could have been a different game
Do you really think one of the assistant coaches will be let go to bring in someone else after our most successful season in a decade? No, we are going to need to hope Rod learns a new trick or two over the summer. While I completely agree here I'd go a step further and say they need to get someone in a coaching role to take it out of Brind'Amour 's hands.
