Yeah, classy. Celebrating a headshot. In the regular season that would be a guaranteed suspension. I hate the entire Caps franchise, their fans, their media, etc. Had to listen to half a period of their radio guys last night. They're pathetic.
Celebrating and mocking a headshot by the official Twitter account of the team.

After everything they said about the Oshie play, to see this now is beyond hypocritical. And we wonder why the majority of their fans act the way they do. It's going to be fun to watch them suck for a long while once Ovi starts to decline.

Half of the Canes forward group doesn't even make the Caps team and most of half that would has some kind of injury.

Canes need to take the Vegas route and add an entire 1st line this offseason (Patches, Stone, and Stastny) if they want to play with the big boys.

I feel like that will happen just by getting guys healthy.

I mean hell we were missing Svech, Ferland, and Martinook last night. All 3 played long stretches of the season on the 2nd line this year. That absolutely affected our quality of play throughout the game.

We will be fine going forward. Our young guys are still getting better. As good as they are playing, guys like Foegele, McKegg, Martinook, etc are still figuring out their roles here. And we still have a lot of talent waiting for their shot down in Charlotte. The fact we are going to Game 6 with the Caps with this roster is a great feat on it's own. We are going to be running the show in this division in the near future with the team we already have.

But a couple high end adds wouldn't hurt.

**** it. Move on to game 6 in the friendly confines of pnc and take care of business. Worst case scenario we get to send the team off with a well deserved standing ovation for a successful season. Best case, push it to game 7 with some momentum.

Exactly. Proud and happy that worst case scenario we’ll be able to send these jerks off in style. Hoping it goes beyond but either way taking defending champs to 6 is great. #GoCanes

The off season should be strictly about getting mid range players that are good on the PP

(Zucarello, Hoffman)?

If we score on one of those PP chances, this could have been a different game
While I completely agree here I'd go a step further and say they need to get someone in a coaching role to take it out of Brind'Amour 's hands. Whether they want to call it assistant coach, special teams coordinator, deployment specialist, whatever- the pp is costing this team games and has been on and off for years, all under the direction of rod the bod. I think his leadership is a huge part of the team's success and I don't want to diminish his contributions but another set of eyes/ideas could be huge. As it is now, there is zero incentive not to attempt to injure the hurricanes- penalties are meaningless if you don't fear getting scored on

Do you really think one of the assistant coaches will be let go to bring in someone else after our most successful season in a decade? No, we are going to need to hope Rod learns a new trick or two over the summer.

Just take the Nick Saban route and bring in someone like Oates or Weight as a "consultant"

Personally i want us to go out and sign Nyquist this off season regardless of if we retain Ferland.
