Skinner looked good on a line with E. Staal and Semin at the end of the last game.

Ah, my recollection was that Bowman moved up there with E.Staal/Semin. Either way, I think it's been pretty clear over the past couple years that Skinner has had chemistry issues with most everyone he's been paired with. Hopefully him and Lindholm can click.

May have been during a partial line change or even in the Philly game, possibly. Bowman was definitely the one swapped with Tlusty on that line towards the end of the Pittsburgh game.

It was Bowman in the Pittsburgh game. it looked like it lit a fire under Tlusty's ass cause he played in an inspired next shift.

I still think Tlusty is the best compliment to Eric and Semin because he'll do the dirty work that Skinner or Bowman won't do.

Bowman does plenty of dirty work. It's one of the only things he does, which is why he's still on the team.

Yeah, I think Bowman's getting a bad rap around here lately. Sure, he's a low scoring winger. But he does have a decent set of wheels and a willingness to get his nose dirty. He doesn't need to be on the top line regularly, but he's not a complete failure of a player either.

offensively, if for some reason they move Jiri off that line I think Skinner would be worth a shot for sure. I can't remember if they used that combo on the PP before or not.

there are some options for the lines and who knows how Muller will arrange them. personally, I don't think Bowman has the hands or sense to be able to finish up what Semin and Eric might dish to him. I think I'd try Dvorak on the wing with them before Bowman. anyway, I think the TEA line will find their game soon (hopefully tonight) and if the secondary guys keep going they should be fine for offense. getting Ruutu back soon too.

I thought bowman looked as good as he ever has last game when he got his shot. He played well enough to get another chance. As far as skinner having no chemistry with his teamates, early on he had chemistry with cole, he worked with the Finns and I even thought late last game he looked good with staal. I know that failed in the past but things change. It's rare when first lines stay intact for years. A pairing may last that long but the third guy often gets switched up. Skinner will find chemistry with someone.

Our first line isn't playing the cycle game that made it effective last year. When they got on a roll they were playing a fourth line game. They just out worked guys to pucks, pulled off a two pass cycle and took it to the net. Teams can't defend a well run cycle with guys that skilled for long, it breaks the d down and those three can take advantage when it does. That's all they did last year, play a grinding cycle game you wouldn't expect from those three. This year they are playing off the rush more, one chance and out. Not digging the pucks out of the corners as well.
