No he wouldn't. Nino would be traded away from leafs much like Wild did now.
As a complimentary piece? Yea, pretty easily. Nino would slot into the Leafs' top-6 without much issue.
Yeah. Its just weird because it feels like selling SO low.Fair assessment then.. thats basically what I was getting at.
Yup. 1.25 million perCarolina has to have added something, right?
40 points gets you top-6 spot? I feel for those teams then.
Canes #6 most productive forward (and #2C) Lucas Wallmark is on pace for 24 points. It do be like that.
No he was bad last year, though a lot of it was due to a high ankle sprain and a broken leg. His skating was bad last year, but has bounced back this year. Just seems to be snakebitten...he usually has nice hands from close in, and a nice shot, as well as being a complete PITA around the other teams net. What the hell are you talking about Rask has a lower PPG than Niederreiter each of the past 3 seasons while being an utterly miserable drain on possession. He's worse than Brandon Sutter.
Niederreiter is having a mediocre season but he was great last year. On top of that, he has had fantastic underlying numbers in the past. This is a massive win for the Canes.

Watching him play the last 2 seasons. Nino is also very average defensively even though his corsi stats seems good. Probably more to do with the fact that he always got to play with strong possession players. Also Nino was probably the only Wild forward in the top-9 who never got any short-handed time.Wtf...that’s all it took to get Nino?!
I think he’s still a good middle-6 forward.
What is making some of you say he is not a good hockey player anymore? All underlying statistics disagree with that statement. On pace for 41 points this season as well.
