second post pointing a finger at carrick. why? his job on a two on one is the pass. he played it right. orlov hung him out. if there is blame stick it on him.

I said "Orlov and Carrick". They are a bad pairing.

Really people talking about the gap between Sid and Ovi? You do know just how unstoppable the Pens would be if Ovi played on that team. There is no gap, they are the best 2 in the world and Ovi is the current MVP. The debate will always go on, some people go for Sid and some go for Ovi it's part of the fun.

When was the last time you saw Ovechkin score a goal like Crosby just did? 2011? Maybe?

Do you live in 2009?

What a fraud McPhee turned out to be. Wow.

Big talk, no vision and massive roster mismanagement to go with endless finger pointing.

they aren't the same type of scorer, besides when was the last time you say the caps consistently work the boards to create plays? His best assist guy is a little swede that gets knocked off the puck with ease

Probably the last time we had a system and defense able to get it to him in stride on a break away.

When was our last great pass from the defense up into a breakaway?

My post about Carrick being inexperienced was started way before he got scored on. Just did not hit the submit earlier.

Dare I say Kuznetsov was our most dangerous player on the ice tonight?

Ovechkin did nothing, Backstrom did nothing, Brouwer missed his usual 2 point blank chances... and that's about it.

Why in the world wasn't Halak pulled @ 3:00 while they still had about a minute left on the PP?

Since you have TWO goals to make up, how about going 6-4 for a minute and try to punch one in. Then you can use the normal go-to plan for the final 2 minutes while down by one.

I hate the way many coaches utilize the goalie-pull.

Forget a breakaway, when was the last time we CARRIED THE PUCK INTO THE ZONE?!?!

Oates needs to go. Bottom line. His answer to our lack of offense? "Get it behind the net and get the forecheck going"... so in other words, give them the puck and hope for a turnover. :handclap: Brilliant!

This is the Washington Capitals. Trying to explain anything especially with Adam Oates is impossible.
