So we are going young then with clendening and corrado. Interesting, looks to me like a rebuild without the announcement.

Reasonable deal (unlike others I'm not convinced he had a big arbitration pay day lined up if he was qualified).

Still the bottom 4-7 is horrensous.

Excellent news. Though I would have prefered a long-term contract even if it meant a much bigger dollar amount.

He is the most underrated player in the Canucks, and has a lot of untapped potential still.

Only 1/5 of the price of that other Weber guy. What a bargain!

This makes me think we won't be targeting any of the higher-end d-men in free agency. No more room on the right side with Tanev, Weber, Corrado, and Clendening.

Like I said all along, you don't even think about criticizing the decision to not qualify Weber until we see how it plays out.

This is why. Terrific signing - handled perfectly by Benning. Weber got 50% less than I was expecting.

Terrible. Soft as butter but a warm body if all they want to do is secure a bottom 5 pick next year which is what they should be doing.

Time to go back to the threads from late in the regular season when people thought Weber would get 3 or 4 million per year.

Edler - Tanev
Hamhuis - Weber
Sbisa - Corrado/Clendening

Still desperately need another LH defender. Stanton would have been nice.

Nice. Cheaper than I thought it'd be and only one year so he doesn't get in the way if a young guy makes the jump next year.

I heard it was Mike Weber on tsn.

I hope he keeps the #6. Must keep the Weber dream alive. :sarcasm:

edit: tsn just corrected themselves. hahaha.
