It'll be pretty funny if he signs a 2-year deal at like $5.5M AAV. Like why did you even hold out for so long. That sounds like a contract that would have been available for months.

If it is for 5.5 or less for 2 years than Canucks must not have been as generous as thought. Anything less than 6 for 2 years is a steal. Can you say home town discount?

I would bet almost anything that another team would give more term and cash to him than that. 6 million x 4 years easily. Just look what Ericsson got o_O
