Poor dude. Has any thing like this happened in recent memory? How far do you think he'll fall?

Not to a draft prospect, from what I recall.

It happened to Andrej Sekera last summer. The injury happened in August, looks like he got back to playing in February.

On the flipside, J-G Pageau also had an achilles tear in September, he returned in January.

This is usually 5-6 month injury though. Horrible.

I know a few people who tore their Achilles... both have had it tear twice and they also have other joint related injuries in their 20s... he might drop if teams think this would be a reoccurring problem.

With today’s medical prowess this injury isn’t “career debilitating” like some are saying. He wasn’t going to make the NHL. Exit year anyways so I don’t think this should affect his draft stock. Guess we will find out soon enough

According to Rick Dhaliwal of Sportnet, even with his injury, Krebs will come to Vancouver next week for another meeting with the Canucks!

A torn achilles? That's like slapping an Arizona sticker on him...

Partial seems much better than full tear.

I had a full tear on a finger tendon and the surgeon had to do a lot of cutting to find the recoiled tendon.
