Underrated juggernaut coming. What a franchise changer has Robertson been.

He slides everyone down a spot on the roster and it allows for guys like Benn, Hintz, Stankoven, Bourque, Dellandrea and Johnston to be in the right chair, or even a luxury.

Without Robertson the Stars would like somewhat like the Red Wings, but Robertson somehow makes them comparable to the very best team in the league. Wish my team was this friggin lucky for once.
So exciting. And it looks like Thomas Harley has been marinating very nicely as well, with definite top 4 NHL upside. Should be a full-timer next year. This team's future is looking incredibly bright.

Harley's looked like the team's third best defender over the last week. He may already be there.

Most Stars' fans are expecting him to be in the lineup for the playoffs.

It sounds strange, but it's encouraging to me that only 9 of his 46 points have come on the powerplay. Had some concerns that he would only profile as a PP specialist at higher levels.

Any chance he cracks the big club next season and sticks?

He'll probably have to battle with Stankoven for a roster spot at the beginning of the season. But I could see them both as full timer's by end of next season. A lot of variables at play though.

He should be one of the first call-up options. As Zapp said, Stankoven is also on the way. We do have two top 9 forward spots opening up, but one may be filled externally, not sure yet.

I'd expect him to be a regular by the start of the 2024-2025 season.

This is what we have signed going into next season:

Robertson - Hintz - Pavelski
Benn - Johnston - XXX
Marchment - Seguin - XXX
Dellandrea - Faksa - XXX

Stankoven will almost certainly secure a spot. We have plenty of guys to plug in on the 4th line spot and the spare forward positions as well. So it will depend on if we sign another top 9 caliber forward or not. Knowing Nill, I would suspect that happens. Bourque will probably slide up permanently once Pavelski retires or takes a significantly diminished role.

Based off of how they've been dedicated to keeping him at Center a lot will depend on what happens with Domi. Domi's been a good fit but may elect to explore free agency or return to Chicago. If that comes to pass Bourque could slide into the 3rd line pivot between Marchment and Seguin. There are a decent amount of similarities between Domi and Bourque's games.

Called up before the game yesterday, with Benn and Dadonov unavailable for Dallas, but he didn't get a spot in the lineup.

I wonder if he's slotted in tomorrow, in Vegas.

Hell of a time for your NHL debut, but at this point why not?

Doubt they change the lineup after a win but he will be a big part of the team in the future. Really good player who plays an honest game and makes those around him better.

4 point night. Tied for the AHL scoring lead.

One other thing that hasn't been mentioned in the thread-- was voted to wear a letter by the team which is fairly unusual for a 2nd year pro with multiple veteran leader options.

This dude is my pick for most underrated on hfboards.

2nd in the AHL in points as of today as a 21-year old….

… and no posts in 6 months.

He's got great vision and patience with the puck. I'm really excited to see what he can do in the NHL.

I said a while back that Bourque will be the better of Johnston and Stankoven, but then Johnston is now looking amazing and Stankoven looks great in his first AHL season, so who knows now.

I don't think Bourque will be quite as good as Johnston or Stankoven. His game will take a little hit at the NHL level because he isn't a great skater and won't be able to hold defenders off as easily which is usually what buys him his time and space (i will say though, he's never relied on his skating at all. Usually a guy who likes to draw people to him and then slip a pass through to a teammate in open space). I do think he will still be a great player though, probably around 50-60 point potential and a fantastic powerplay guy. Then again, he's a super smart player and as Pavelski has proven that can make up for not being an amazing skater or the strongest guy on the ice. Think he will be a playmaker version of Pavelski essentially.

That being said, you never know with players who have his hockey IQ. Tough to tell their potential until you see them in action at this level. I also suspect he will be a great 2-way player.

It’ll be harder to crack the top 6 center position as well. Hints and Wyatt have that locked in. Unless he plays wing but I think they would use him as a solid 3c

Yeah, I thought this before Wyatt played in the NHL, regardless I'm happy with all three!
