Over half his points came in two games. Funny.

I get your point but wouldn't it be more worrisome if he wasn't tearing up the weaker teams? As pointed out in this thread, it's not like the two bottom teams have been blown out by 5-6 goals every other game this year.

Take away the two big games and he's still on his way to improving on last year while playing the 1C role and averaging nearly 20mins a game.

His work ethic and improved skating has me excited as he seems like a guy that is full of compete and the will to get better.

You should know by now that if you score many points in one or two games those points do not count. Maximum 2 points per game counts ;)

is there any reason except number one choise in draft ( who is north american and therefores always go before scandinavian shy boy ) that there is a single player that should go before lundell? better skater? better offensive threat? better defense? better sticks handeling?

im sorry im sure you know who is the real player here. it is not even close

what is going on there?

sir avgard hockeyprofessor
shocking he has draft number of low 12. he is at least number 2 in draft. there is no speaks of this. seems as of populism at least for number one....what his name again? clearly lundell has the profe more than number one that has not playd in men´s league to this day? maybe im wrong but i see SM league as a better arena to profe than those north american farmleagues and stuff.

hard to say anyone got better offensive quality in draft. still some say he has also defense craft. so why these small boys go higher in draft. lundell like men amongst small boys. come on NHLdraft lookers. you should can do better!

lundell can be another at the very top of NHL with very many season with over 100point seasons. and with marginal! maybe over 150?

barkov....defensive specialist. soon you have the 2nd line spot. get ready for lundell flo! this years rookie if he come over?

sir avgard hockeyprofessor

Excuse me professor, which school for the blind do you teach at?

Not really. 19 points altogether. 9 came in two games, so definitely not OVER half. He had also several one point games out of those 10 other points. And 10 points btw already would be a great amount of points in just 12 game, if you have some reason to leave out those 9 points when looking at his season. But all points matter, so his 19 points in only 14 games is HUGE really.

Oops! My mistake. Of course he had just over half of his points (10 points in those two games after all) in those two games. Sorry, I somehow was left in the false idea that he had yesterday ”only” 5 points, But of course it was 6 points. Anyway doesn’t change very much my main point.

All points count, but it's still an interesting statistic. He's played well in every game I've watched. Which would be....every game.

And - important note - He is definitely not getting any extra help from his linemates.

That's what FLA needs, two top 6C's that are line drivers. Barkov and his mini me.
And I say mini rather tongue and cheek as he can still grow another inch and will likely add at least 10-15lbs in the next 3-4 years

Hey Avgard.
Haven’t seen your posts in a while.
From your perspective would have Laine and Lundell worked good together? And what would have been their point totals.

asking for a friend.

I badly wanted Lundell at #9 for the Wild, even though some respected Draftmeisters insisted that his skating and offense was wanting. At no time in my viewings did i see a poor skater, just a bigger boy/man who would need time to grow into his body.

As it turns out, Rossi fell into our laps, and I have been told that he is a better prospect. We'll see.
Lundell looks studly, but I don't think you should be unhappy with rossi. Ugh I'd have gladly taken either one

It's only two games that have been rescheduled at this point, no venue changes or anything major otherwise.

Lundell with Laine? of course. outside of winnipeg the marrier. Lundell seems like very speeded, and very pucks attached hard to his stick even up as these speeds. finding easily also Laine he would at all angles. this player seem like very MONSTER. laine must move from winnipeg were very old and stupity rule. and very cold wheather including depression run. in winnipeg possibility of coach giving lundell AHLthreatment til he gets angry and move back finland like vesalainen. not impossible. but hey. he will play at florida and he has golden kingchair awaiting for him when he arrive. at this very time at florida office im sure deciders deciders rub their hands for everything that awaits. this boy can set up any numbers sky limits here. depending also if they are a 1 line team or 4 line team in futures. if they set up all fire to one line then can be absolute crazy numbers here. like much higher than edmonton perversity

I liked and responded to this from you earlier in the thread and I'm gonna do it again here for posterity  :)

The IQ keeps him a half-step ahead of everyone, the physical tools keep him there.

what I love is that he doesn't over do it, if the play is there he'll make it, if it isn't he's a possession monster. Much like Kopitar.

Speaking of, damn if Kopitar teaches Byfield how to use his size like him its over. The top end of this draft is nasty.
