Heinen and Cehlarik have both played a full year in the AHL (more games than Kuraly) and Cehlarik 3 additional seasons as a pro in the SHL. Czarnik has two AHL years.
Also, to address the comments in your other reply. Not sure where this idea has come from that Heinen is a purely offensive player like say Senyshyn? He’s a 3 zone player who has excellent positioning and has killed penalties at the last two levels he has played at, and should be able to do so in the NHL as well.
Exactly, I see a PJ Axelsson with a better scoring touch in Heinen, I don't see a big time point producer, just a good solid two-way winger. He'd be fine on the 4th line, heck, it might be where he ends up playing the bulk of his career, floating between the 3rd and 4th line. He may never be a true scoring Top 6 forward.
The thing about Heinen (or any prospect F) is they aren't playing 4-5 mins a night on the 4th line, especially if they can kill penalties or be a PP specialist. You're more likely to see 10-12 min., providing they aren't hurting the team, and if they are, they shouldn't be here.
And they aren't getting 20+ min. a night in Providence either. Rare even at the AHL level to see forwards routinely play 20+ min.
So your really comparing 10-12 mins. at the NHL level vs. 16-18 mins. at the AHL level.
If they can play AND contribute at the NHL level, they are better off up here on the 4th line, adjusting to the speed and more structured game of the NHL, than in the AHL. That being said, one young forward like a Heinen or Debrusk on the 4th line is enough.
