Good game, was behind the LA net for two periods so got a good view of the players movements tonight. That GPP line was really the best thing tonight. I have felt from the beginning of the season that Pods should play with Petey. With Garland buzzing around, you have the elements of a really nice line. Three Guys who can score but play different and I think complimentary games. Coaches bump tonight for sure and there is still lots about the team that is bad, but tonight the players who need to get points did. Tonight they did what they needed to do, beat an equally bad team. Honestly after the game some fans outside were delirious. The additions this summer are not working outside of the OEL/Garland and Pods nothing knew looks very good. I would rather see Miller at centre and see Dickinson on the fourth line that way they can create some actual lines, but they don't have enough for three good lines. Pearson had three chances right in front of us in the 2nd. His hands are only good enough for the third line. Miller and Petey should be the top two centres with Bo with Pearson and whomever on right wing as a third line. Great to actually have fun tonight and really loved the game. Just want to add the note of skepticism. I think they will score a lot more the question is will they leak goals?
Probably. A bit. Bb’s an offensive specialist but he didn’t get to where his record is now by ignoring defence.
Let’s be clear. Bb isn’t perfect. He probably wouldn’t have been my first choice, but I think he’s exactly what our boys need in this moment in time.

The guys on Sportsnet after the press conferences thought that the owners intentions is for the GM to come from those former Canucks that are in the inner circle. This would be a mistake. We need someone from outside with experience at either the GM level or the POHO level, or preferably both. I’ll accept a Steamer or a Henri as GM as long as we have a super strong mentor for them, as up to now, Sedins and King, and yes even Smyl have only GMJB to learn from.

This. The next GM has to be someone with expierence. We can't really afford to hire someone unexpierenced. I think the plan should be to hire someone with expierence so Henrik and Daniel could be groomed.

The position of president is especially important in my eyes, as they're going to dictate how the ship is run. We've seen first hand with The Raptors and Masai Ujiri what elite leadership and management can bring to the table.

Canucks fans are drunk-dialing the 650 post-game radio show.
I laughed pretty hard at a couple of the callers. I tried a few times but couldn’t get through. They’re doing a great job tonight & I’m finding myself nodding in agreement to almost each point the guys make.

I still miss Team 1040, but these guys are growing on me.

Almost like Brad Shaw started working with the defense exclusively.

Myers was noticeably effective tonight, specifically discussed how he stood out in a good way tonight.

Yeah I don't think Travis Green will never work again in some capacity in the NHL, just poking at Sportsnet or whoever always trying to tell us how great he is and make it sound like there's teams just lining up to hire him should the Canucks let him go. I mean Willie Desjardins and Dallas Eakins both found another job so sure, I just find the way they're always talking and sticking up for him pretty hard to believe

I do think Green did a bad job here, especially this season, but I think people tacitly know that Benning so f*cked up this team that people kind of pity Green and felt he deserves a fair chance with a real team.

Short term he is a good choice.

I honestly think Hughes can make a case for like, a top 10 player in the league as soon as this year. He is sensational and horribly underrated somehow. His skating is gamebreaking, there are times where he literally seems untouchable. Just completely controls the game from a really unique position.
