Still feeding off the positive energy from the last couple of days. Last night’s game felt like a Playoff match.

Will this do?

we couldnt trade markstrom because we were bad and benning decided to trade a first for miller and that pushed us to competing for an 8th seed position. in his position he should of saw that this would be the last year he can get anything from markstrom and tanev and instead tried to compete and couldnt trade them. also dont forget hamhuis walking too to add to that list. and giving up on dahlen

The mood was definitely better in the stadium last night than on Saturday.
Pretty sweet victory.

Boeser had a good game vs Pit I thought... first game I hadn't had an issue with him... Didn't have a great analytical view from my seats last night - but hey, he scored finally... so I'll take it. Ramp up that trade value.

Miller's body language is something else... wears every emotion, negative/positive, on his sleeve... almost to a fault.

Feel so good for Lammikko! After the snipe off the post, great to see him cash in on his next prime chance.

So Good to see them play aggressively on the PK... my god that old strategy was mind numbing!

Nah. The energy and intensity wasn't there. The Kings haven't been good and didn't exactly give a good effort.

The Canucks looked a bit tentative in the first period last night ..Its apparent that there is still confusion on some zone exits (BB said they will be working on that today), still quite a bit of 'you take it, Ive got it'.........The good teams have these breakouts down pat, split second one touch passes...and you're off.

Its almost as of BB has taken the shackles off a bit, and gone back to simplifying their game..Small sample size, but it looks a style which is a lot more conducive to the players we have.

He is a dinosaur coach..to put it mildly..he's funny though..swears a lot..like a 'bad grandpa'....He said that one of the most important things was to have the players (and the fans) having fun again..Working so far..

Hard to give BB too much credit for a single win....

The two most significant things that looked different were - D were less aggressive and stayed home more... - he mentioned that in his presser pre game - wanted our players on the right side of puck more than they have been... and pinching aggressively doesn't help being on the right side of the puck.
and 2 - more aggressive/less passive PK.... fricken no brainer move. ABSOLUTELY mind boggling the previous regime refused to change the strategy. They will eventually get burned by fantastic puck movement thru the slot... but man it was nice to see the change up..

Otherwise the game is just so dynamic between the whistles that the guys just play... 1 practice aint gonna change anything significant...

This is a group players that should be 95+ playoff challenging team... fully hoping this spurrs them back to that level of play.

I don't think Boudreau is a dinosaur coach at all. To me being a dinosaur is a mindset not an age. Where you are unable to adapt to the game as it changes, and will stick with it even if it continues to fail, and/or use outdated philosophies. I find Green much more of a dinosaur in that regard. Things like skill players can't PK, young players can't play a checking role or PK, or that players like Jason Dickinson or Jay Beagle should get loads of ice time in the third period when leading because controlling the play isn't allowed in that situation. Boudreau seems less Dinosaurish in a lot of ways. Examples are playing to win not playing not to lose, playing Pettersson and Horvat on the PK, and still attacking strong in the third with a lead.

Green is a dinosaur.

Boudreau is an old but progressive coach.

Was there a video or anything for Edler? Sportsnet went to commercial at the first stoppage instead of letting us, home viewers, see him get a standing O, so was wondering if there was a sweet video for him?
Yeah there was a short video. The fans went nuts! Edler did a quick lap and you could tell he thought the noise would die down, but the fans just kept cheering and he stood there sheepishly waving. Shame it wasn't on TV, he deserved a thanks from the home fans as well, even if he wouldn't have heard it.

We will never forget Judd Bracket.

Absolutely agree

Jb’s biggest 2 mistakes were hiring Willie and Green

and also not punting Green when it was apparent Green was in incompetent

As we begin to turn it around under a real coach remember who put the core that is winning together

I have been saying that this roster is capable of winning. Green and Baumer were the problems. We should have fired King

We should have cleaned out the coaching staff in the off season. Dim jim made alot of mistakes but he also made some good moves. Would have preferred we waited until we saw what real coaches could do with what we have

And one of his mistakes inside his million of mistakes is resigning Travis Green and deciding do die on a hill with him.

Biggest idiot in the league hiring 2 amateur coach and doubling down on the 2nd one when he had the chance to hire some experienced coaches.

That it wasn’t shown on TV is …. Interesting.

They did show it - it's been common in the recent past that the Canucks show their tribute videos during a commercial break, and the feed usually comes back in when the player is getting cheered by the fans at its conclusion. That definitely happened last night - they showed Edler getting showered with praise by the fans and saluting them back.

Considering this was our best game all season, in terms of 60 minute effort, and our lines gelling, I think he gets alot if credit for getting the boys ready and believing in themselves again.

They didn’t show any video. Usually we see the videos on TV. Especially for big names.

We take this one game at a time and who knows what will happen. In the end of the day I just want a team that puts in the 60 minutes and are hard to play against.

Yeah, I didn't see any video last night. Only saw the end of his ovation and acknowledgement of the fans.
