There probably was a reason for not starting him though. Hakstol saw him in practice and maybe he just wasn't convinced.
Well I mean..he won both starts and 1 of them was a shut-out, so..
He should have started 2-3 more games in that stretch. There is no defending it.
He was giving Mason back-to-back nights for no reason during a 27 game stretch with a healthy Stolarz that had proven he could play.
Whether or not this had to do with his struggles when he was sent down, it was still garbage coaching from our garbage coach.
