Many thought he wasn't a bottom pair d man any longer.Disagree. He’s a bottom pair dude and is rated as such. Maybe even a bit overrated by some Tampa fans.
True, myself included. He has stepped up a bit in the playoffs which is cool. He was atrocious down the stretch but if he can show up in big games I’ll be fine. Many thought he wasn't a bottom pair d man any longer.
I didn’t expect Hedman-Girardi to work but it hasOur D lines are very well balanced right now, everyone is playing great.
Hedman has gotten to the point where he can babysit anybody. Girardi is far better than all of his partners to date (except for Stralman of course).I didn’t expect Hedman-Girardi to work but it has
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to trade him, he is finally living up to the expectations we had for him when we got him from Philly. However, he is playing his way into being tradeable... with a decent return. That's exciting and, being perfectly honest, pretty unexpected. He's playing so well I think it would be a mistake to trade him at this point. He's pretty much perfect in his role. We really only have one guy playing over his head right now (Girardi) and that might get corrected when Stralman comes back.

He's playing himself into being essential for our playoff run. Not as trade bait.
Yeah, I guess I need to get out of that trade mentality...Guess I am being way optimistic that Cernak is here to stay and, when Strals returns... who do we sit? Girardi? He's playing himself into being essential for our playoff run. Not as trade bait.

Finally? He was pretty good when we first traded for him.Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to trade him, he is finally living up to the expectations we had for him when we got him from Philly. Yeah, this. Also why in the world would we trade him now? This year is our biggest window for the Cup.Finally? He was pretty good when we first traded for him.
I guess JBB read my post.Hope we retain Coburn at around $2M for 1-2 years. He's a versatile #6/7 as he can play both sides and can still keep up with the speed of the game these days. Let Strals and G walk (too fragile / slow).
Yeah except the NYR still have to actually sign Trouba.I couldn't be happier. This makes up for the dirt cheap deal the NYR got for Trouba
I don't think it's gonna be that hard for themYeah except the NYR still have to actually sign Trouba.
