Boston NYR is the epitome of the nhl now.

So the OP just wanted the Bruins to goon it up in the final 10 minutes because they were down 5 goals?

Three different players were cross-checked in the head tonight during the 2nd period. It was a violent game until the Bruins got caught with their pants down and effectively lost the game in a span of 12 seconds.

2-1 to 4-1 in the matter of moments after a horrendous tripping call. The Bruins didn't deserve to win either way, they allowed NYR to absolutely bully them and target Pastrnak and Marchand without the slightest response.

This Bruins team is back to what it was last season when it didn't care if players or goalies were run. It simply must begin with the coach.

Down 6-1? Don’t try anymore. Just go out and skate around. Even 5 years ago that 3rd would’ve taken over an hour, easily. Then again, you can’t hit, fight or send any messages. Someone might get offended.

Ps.. in before “ok boomer”

You can do all of these things in today's NHL. I wouldn't call you a boomer because a boomer would remember there have been plenty of times in the past when a teamed phoned in the 3rd period of a blowout. Nothing new about that. I guess it's easier to preemptively accuse people of getting offended than it is to remember things as they actually were though.

This has nothing to do with two different generations.

5 years ago we weren’t in pandemic with an insanely condensed schedule.

Hell yes teams are going to mail it in down 6-1.
they play each other again on Sunday.

this schedule is brutal

I feel like it was a pretty even game and the Rangers early season lack of luck started to even out more with this game. Hopefully it continues.

The generations before the snowflakes

Might beg the question of who raised such an awful generation.

At any rate, tonight's game was pretty feisty so I'm not sure what some people were watching.

Would have made the end game worth watching, for one.

Sports is an entertainment business.

The game was super entertaining from a NYR fan's perspective. :)

Oh no whatever will you do with no testosterone fueled barroom brawling on the ice that serves no purpose in a game that is not close.

Will it make you feel better? Is this a vicarious need that you require or something?

Yeah we need to go back to the old school days where guys were such big bitches they’d go around cheap shotting the other team because they got blown out...

2nd night of a b2b in a season with a compressed schedule. These two teams play again on Sunday. Sorry that you are upset your precious Bruins didn’t treat the 3rd period like the “big bad Bruins” era but the best long term strategy was to get that game over as soon as possible without anyone getting hurt or expending a bunch of energy gooning it up.

You can thank the estrogens that leak from those shitty plastic Gatorade bottles. No one wants to see dudes with gyno slapping each other anyways. Too confusing.

We need to somehow find a way to inject passion and hate .... it’s good for the game ... are today’s players too friendly with one another ? We need more players like Matthew Tkachuk ...
