If the draft went exactly according to Bobby Mac's list who would you pick of the remaining prospects.

Take the top D on your board, tough choice between Seider and Broberg.

Keep the pick and draft Broberg. Then go after goal scoring wingers with the 46th and 50th picks. If our team takes a step forward next year, trade our 2020 1st for a player of need who has 2 years in term (like Muzzin for example).

    Backing this up.
Trade the pick IF a player worthy is available....and there is if we believe all the rumours

Why only LHD ? I think we still need a sharpshooter winger IMO, if Caufield is available he is the BPA.

I would look to trade up in this case. If that doesn't work, then trade down.

I don't think Broberg is still there at 15, but if he is, you select him and don't look back.

If not, I think the #2 option should be Thomas Harley, which will likely still be available around 18-19. So I would trade the pick to Ottawa or Dallas as one of those teams likely goes after Newhook / Soderstrom / Knight that may be available at 15 but likely won't at 18-19.

    MTL:
    18
    Robertson, Jason

    Dallas:
    15

    Or

    MTL:
    19
    32

honestly, I would be happy with any of them. Seems like a great draft for Dmen, and hope we can find 1 or 2 future NHL dmen in this draft

I'd honestly trade up for Boldy or trade back and grab Thomson and Rees.

Trading up for Boldy remains my #1 goal. If he's still there at 10 I'm trading up. If Podkolzin is still there at 13 I'm also trading up.
Otherwise I'm content with York/Krebs/Caufield at 15. If none of those are available,
then I'm ok with trading back for Heinola/Thomson/Johnson/Lacombe + Beecher/Tomasino/Pelletier/N.Robertson

I feel confident that some LD or winger that we like will slip to us at 15th. Centers will be targeted.

In that group, minus Seider because it doesn't make sense? Thomas Harley.

That's like....exactly it. Yet, this year, teams will go for homerun type of pick. Rees might fall...but Thomson might rise.

If Heinola is available he has to be the pick.

I really like Broberg. If he's still there at 15, he'll be the bpa and he's pretty much exactly what the Habs need. Harley would be nice too.
