Me thinks the same. Feaster hopefully has a trade lined up to help us now or in the future.

Sounds like the David Moss experiment all over again. I agree with you about Horak.

I would of rather Comeau be waived over Jones without question, but it does make sense that if the Flames were trying to rid themselves of a contract that Jones was waived over Comeau. Jones also brings all the traits that you mentioned.
Jones is a 4th liner that plays no special teams. Comeau plays the PK, he has more hits, he skates better, creates more chances than Jones and oh right he had as many goals and points last year in 2/3 of a season as a Flame than Jones has in his entire career.

Jones is a borderline NHL player, he has never been able to spend a full season on an NHL roster. Comeau is coming off a career worst season after scoring 41 goals in the 2 seasons prior. Comparing these 2 players is ridiculous because it's pretty obvious why they would choose Comeau over Jones.

Did you (or anyone) think for even half a second that Hartley might just see something in what Comeau is doing? See something he feels his coaching staff can fix? Or maybe he feels its just a confidence thing and playing with Iginla could fix that.

Building consistency:

"It's a great challenge for Blake Comeau because he's worked very hard since the start of the year," Hartley explained. "I feel that he's very responsible on the ice. He wants to learn the game in the three zones, on both sides of the puck.
"We want to build on players like Blake Comeau. He's a solid competitor for us and I think it's a nice challenge for him."

I suspect Feaster asked Hartely to score lots of goals because it inflates their trade value. Everyone knows this is the year for us. Either playoffs or wholesale because Feaster cannot stand by and expect different results.

This Comeau move is likely a product of that concept. Let him bucket some goals and trade him when every other club thinks he's regained his previous form.

While I'd love for this to be true, it's much more likely that the Flames actually believe they have a better chance to win with Blake Comeau as their number center.

As far as Jones goes, I'm guessing he did something to ruffle the feathers of either the coaching staff or management. It almost feels as though he was waived to prove a point. Nothing else really makes sense.
