Come on. You’re better than that.Barkov just had a 96 point season the year prior but this poll indicates he doesn’t stand a chance against 66 point career high Pettersson.
Barkov is also in his prime years while Pettersson is still a couple years from his peak.
I know I know obviously Pettersson was looking at basically a PPG season but Barkov already hit that mark and significantly higher.Come on. You’re better than that.
Petterson had 66 points last season, Barkov had 62.Barkov just had a 96 point season the year prior but this poll indicates he doesn’t stand a chance against 66 point career high Pettersson.

If you include playoffs EP had 18 points in 17 games as well. So essentially an 84 point season.Petterson had 66 points last season, Barkov had 62.
Well there you go.If you include playoffs EP had 18 points in 17 games as well. So essentially an 84 point season.
Agreed. It could go either way. I expect Barkov to have a better season than last year and EP to also improve. It should be close.Well there you go.
Having said that, who knows, will be close.
I know I know obviously Pettersson was looking at basically a PPG season but Barkov already hit that mark and significantly higher.
Again I think the biggest factor here is that Barkov has 4 years on Pettersson, he is at his peak rn
Both are a bit injury prone, so this is multifaceted coin toss..
Also what is meant by "better season"? Points? Playoffs?
For points (if both healthy), I'd say Barkov. For 2-way game, I'd say Barkov. Which one has better chance of some actual team success, I'd say EP.
What do you mean by "better"? Strictly in terms of points?
If Bergeron gets 65 points and wins the Selke, while Kessel gets 90 and is -20: who had the better season?
Lmao can’t believe this is still a thing, Pettersson is so much better than Barkov in terms of two/way play it’s absurd. Both are a bit injury prone, so this is multifaceted coin toss..

He's already a franchise center and he's already better than Barkov. If you haven't realized it yet, you certainly will this year. This is why EP is overrated. He'll be a franchise center one day but he's not currently better than a 25 year borderline top 10 C that's had a career high of 96 points, averaged 85 points over the last 3 years and finished 4th, 5th, and 11th in Selke voting over that 3 year period.
Barkov is what Nucks fans hope EP should become, he's a terrific young two-way center.
