Diaz for Weise: TRIUMPH
Bourque for (in effect) Sekac: TRIUMPH
Briere for Parenteau: TRIUMPH
Moen for Gonchar: shorter contract + instant stimulus for PP
Gorges for (in effect) Weaver: Even, and increases cap room
Bouillon for (in effect) Gilbert: Plus
Prust signing: improvement
Budaj for pick + (in effect) Tokarski: win
Murray release: good riddance
Beaulieu: starting to look better
Keeping Plekanec and Eller: wise decisions
Malhotra: very useful
Marschak: promising draft pick
Gilbert: another RH G

Did I forget anyone? I posted from memory

And you conveniently forget about all those bad moves. Like signing those guys he let go a year later.

It's nice that MB hasn't made any crippliing move, but let's not get too excited.

He's a great GM, but this is extremely biased and also incorrect in a lot of cases since it doesn't even tell half the story

It was Gorges for pick...imo that was a loss since i think we could have fetched more than a 4th 2nd. Glad to see him gone though
Bourque was also traded for Cammalleri, also a loss.
Like Murray, Bouillon was released/let go
Tokarski was already our goalie, i'm sure you just made a type there

Cole and his bad contract for ryder. Marshsack is most likely our last first round pick. Scherback.

Bob Gainey was a comprehensive catastrophe in asset management, in contrast Bergevin is solid.

He's an amazing GM, easily one of the best in the league.

No GM is perfect but Bergevin recognizes his mistakes pretty quickly and learns from them.

I remember many people around here hated the Weise deal and couldn't believe we gave up on Diaz.

Bergevin didn't make the trade for Bourque, so he didn't "lose" Cammalleri. As for Tokarski, he made the right decision in keeping him. It may not have been as monumental as Gauthier's trading Halak (instead of Price) for Eller but it was a wise decision. (That's not a typo.) Bergevin perceived that Weaver would serve just as well as Gorges--at a lower salary. The present D is clearly better than what was there when he came in. So are the forwards.

I'll reserve judgement on Bergevin till the hobbit is gone.

Oh, you should make some edits ;)

Especially considering you (intentionally) missed a few personal moves
