Imagine having all the talent in the world and finding a way to just utterly screw everything up and costing yourself millions of dollars for just dumb personal reasons.

Dude had a good thing in Pittsburgh, burned it. Set himself up to get paid like crazy in Oakland/Vegas and burned that, too. And then seemingly played some 4D chess to land in New England only to **** it up there beyond belief.

What a dumbass.

I mean, it's pretty clear he is mentally ill.

Eli Manning will probably get in to the HOF but he shouldn't. At no point was he even a top 5 active QB. He had a very good career but he's a compiler.

Longevity + two Super Bowl rings + played in New York = he's getting in no matter what, probably first year he's eligible.

If he was a small-market, non-Green Bay QB with identical stats, he'd maybe get inducted years and years down the line due to the rings or not at all.

Never saw or felt that Eli Manning was a HOF when he played. It's called the HALL OF FAME not the HALL OF VERY GOOD. Too many good players are in the HOF in every sport. In this case, do voters actually see a guy like Eli in the same league as Montana, Elway, etc? So I agree that Eli was a stat compiler.

Will he get in the HOF? Sure, there letting everybody in anyways, but should he be a HOF? That's a hard no for me.

Namath is in the Hall of Fame with lesser stats and a worse won/loss record. He is there for one of the biggest upsets ever. Eli was a part of one of the biggest upsets in the modern era, plus he did it twice to the same GOAT QB/dynasty. You beat the best of the best in your era TWICE for the title? Stats and other trivial things like where he ranked among his peers are practically irrelevant for any further debate of his merits. Unless debating the greatest QB's of all-time no longer includes the question of "Yeah, but how many rings does ______ have?" Is it all about the rings or is it not? He wasn't some Trent Dilfer-level game manager either. He made plays in those Super Bowl wins.

Eli won 2 SB MVPs.

Comparing pre-Montana QB ratings to Montana-present QB ratings is meaningless, because of the West Coast offense. The top 31 all time are all Montana-present and most of them are Peyton Manning's age or younger.

Joe Namath isn't in the HOF for what he did as a QB. He's in more as a contributor to the game. It's been said that the merger never happens if the Colts won SB 3. Rumor has it that SB 3 would have been the final one if the Colts had won that game, and the entire history of football changes. The guarantee is stuff of legends. It's the football equivalent to Babe Ruth's called HR in the WS, except with real evidence that it happened.

Joe Namath should be moved to the "contributor" wing but because he was a player and what he did was so damn important to football history, he gets in as a player.

Nobody should complain about Namath being in the HOF. He doesn't deserve to be in based on the entirety of his career, but everyone with a brain and knowledge of football history knows why he's there.

Eli has better case then guys in HOF such as Griese , Bradshaw , Aikman and Elway

Yep I said it ,, Elway was absolutely overrated and can thank Shanahan and Davis for his SB's
