I've been playing the beta and it is alright but I can't see myself paying full price for the game with Halo coming out 2 weeks later.

I don't get it. Why not just release the beta with the build that doesn't have all the bugs?

To find stuff that they couldn't pick up during their own testing. For example, I found a place on the map where I can get infinite AA rounds and have a field day picking off air craft.

It was fun but a glitchy mess, especially compared to the Halo preview, which was smooth as hell.

Doubt this game is able to launch in a good state in a month. I would like to be wrong because the gunplay was real good.

I played on Series X on Wednesday and Thursday since it was available for UGP members. The difference between the Halo Infinite and this one is light years. Halo Infinite is coming out a couple of weeks later and the game looked fairly finished. What's the point of playing a months old beta? It looks utter garbage, which is expected of DICE though...

The Beta is unplayable. It feels more like an alpha build. So many bugs it’s just made me not want to play. The game has potential to be great but I’ll be holding off until I know this thing is polished.

The only annoying bugs I've encountered are the camera constantly jittering back and forth when in the gunner seat of the tank and sometimes not being able to call in a vehicle when there is one available. Otherwise the game has played fine for me

I gave it 15 minutes and then decided its not playable..

Definitely feels like they have a lot to fix in a short amount of time. Probably not going to pre-order now.

The performance is awful on PC. I have a 2080Ti and at low settings I'm dropping into 30fps range when getting into firefights. I can't even aim properly, it just gets so frustrating.

Whats your cpu? Supposedly BF is notorious for being cpu heavy. I'm on a 3060ti, at 1440p, and never dip below 60fps on medium/high.

Also the problem isn't the bugs and stuff, it's just bad decisions that won't even be changed. Things like the UI - which may be the worst UI I've ever played with, the new specialist system is also bad - you just 40 of the same dude running around and specialists like the medic are just awful. The map is also pretty bad, there's no flow to it and it's way too big.

After playing the beta quite a bit, I'm not liking what I'm seeing. The specialist idea is not working for me. Everyone looks the same. The UI is horrendous. I'm going to wait until the full game comes out to make me decision on whether I want to get it or not.

Not so impressed after playing a little of the beta. Can’t see myself switching away from Warzone for this.

I don't expect anything other than it being a buggy mess at launch and then DICE will hand it off to a sister studio and they turn it in to one of the best games ever.

I don't think that I'd blame DICE. This looks like classic EA. With BF3, EA stated that they were taking on CoD and they've been treating BF like their sports franchises ever since, pushing them out semi-regularly and at the same time of year each time. Prior to BF3, BF games were released at other points of the year, like March and June, presumably when they were done. Now, EA makes them release them in October-November because 1) that's the most profitable time of year, and 2) if they miss the window and delay it a year, that's an opportunity for CoD (or some other shooter) to gain traction. It's already been 3 years since BF5. EA wants some income and DICE has to declare it gold whether they think that it's finished or not. We might fault DICE for not having it done and polished yet (i.e. failing to meet a deadline that they probably knew about all through development), but we don't know whether they would delay it several months if they could. We just know that they don't have that choice.

Its both of their fault.

What I was trying to that say is that the one who decides to release it, anyways, deserves more of the blame, IMO. If DICE could delay the game, they might, and we'd give them credit for doing the right thing if they did. Most developers take pride in their work and would rather delay and release a better game than meet an arbitrary deadline and release something buggy. It's likely not their choice, though.

DICE as we knew it doesn't exist anymore. A majority of the devs that made 3/4/1 have all left, especially after Battlefront 2 and BFV. A lot of them ended up at Embark studios. The guy who turned around BF4 quit because they kept f***ing him over on BFV and went to Ubisoft I believe.

2042 is a f***ing mess and a half. Like they've completely abandoned the class system and any semblance of weapon balance. Operator system is a nightmare.

It's not even the jank. It's a DICE game, jank comes with the territory. It's the fundamentally unsound design decisions they've made in order to sell more skins. Like the entire basis of the story is soldiers with no allegiances, so conveniently they don't have to make faction specific skins.

They are leaning even harder into the CoD angle but DICE sucks at that and that's not what core fans want. So they're going to end up with a game that pleases no one. MW2 will slaughter this as is.

This game needs a delay until the spring, which is the end of the fiscal year.

I was really excited for this game, but.....it's in rough shape. I'm not even sure if I'll buy it at launch anymore, which is pretty disappointing for a game that I've been counting down the days to.

Did anybody encounter the tornado? I did and it doesn't kill you when you run into it. Or when you fly into it with a jet or a helicopter.
