If it’s modern or future, Im intrigued.

Rumors are

It will be modern

It will have 128 players instead of 64

There will be a br mode which could possibly be free while the actual mp game is still paid

Battlefield 3 will be remodeled to modern time.

DICE, you tease. For 15 years, I've wanted a sequel to Battlefield 2142 (the last one that I cared about), so the title of this gets me excited, but the year obviously suggests that it'll be much more modern than futuristic. I want mechs, hover tanks and, especially, titan ships again. Is that too much to ask for?

Beyond the eye candy trailer, I have not seen much to get excited about.

While there are aspects I like, such as no longer being burdened by the WW1 setting, other things are throwing huge red flags, such as getting rid of classes.

I'm content to keep playing BF4

The biggest concern right now that I'm seeing is about the specialists. Basically they copied Warzone which has 20 or 25 operators to pick from. You can pick from 10 of them in Battlefield.

Personally I don't mind them copying Warzone, if they do it right. The honest truth is even in BFV you could only choose from a select array of characters for each side (US, Japan, German, UK). They had 3 men and 3 women. They were just generic soldiers though and you could customize them with unlockable items. If you can do that here I wouldn't have any issue with specialists at all.

I have been a Battlefield fan most of my life but COD captured me these past few years with Warzone against all my expectations. I hope Battlefield puts together a nice effort here.
