Gonna say, love the move by Woodcroft to run 7d instead of pulling a defender out for Bouchard. That way there is no pressure on the kid to just jump in an excel, has a rough go, Woodcroft can just not play him and not have to worry about being a defender short.

What does Bouchard do. Just kick ass lol

This is the kind of start you kind of get nervous about. Absolute and total domination... Yet they're only one shot away.

Condors are riding the energy of the crowd right now, hopefully they can put some distance between them and the Eagles while it lasts!

I was thinking the same thing. Really like the way he's handling Bouchard in this game.

Condors are a volume shooting team but tonight they are definitely winning the possession game.

Bouchard as expected - passes well and quickly, gets shots onto net, a little soft in his own zone.

I'm trying to stay even keeled, because that's the kind of period you really can't judge much on. When the other team gets zero time in your zone, how do you evaluate defence?

That said, Bouchard made all the right plays and was a palpable presence whenever he was on the ice. There was only one play where he got sucked up really high at the blue line, and you could even see him realize he'd gotten caught and move quickly back in to the slot.

There were a couple passes that you know would have been in the back of the net if the other guy wasn't so surprised to actually be getting such a good pass.

Arrows all up right now for Bouchard. Let's see how the rest of the game goes!
