Where's Kamenev? Your 2020-2021 fourth line is going to draw lots of penalties with Toninato and Greer.

I didn't realize that their time on ice was that close. I was definitely wrong there. EJ was injured in the playoffs so that doesn't surprise me. I don't really think we should look at stretches during the season while comparing these 2. Completely different roles on defense and lets not pretend that Barrie didn't have some stretches of god awful play. Every player is streaky.EJ's shoulder was fine during his awful start to the season and EJ averaged less than a minute more than Tyson at ES in the regular season...17.92 vs 17.14...and played 3.6 minutes less in the playoffs...18.79 vs 15.19. With the all-situations #s tipping even more in Tyson's favor; becoming a 5 minute per game advantage in the playoffs & a .11 disadvantage in the regular season.
I mean yeah, but even with salary inflation the Wilson contract was a noticeable overpayment from start to finish, and this will certainly be another.I know but that's basically Wilson's contract, and that's what I expect him to get.
Not crazy about taking Knight at #10 either, but I think they need to ensure they get him if they can. The need in net is too strong.
Give me Pavelski for 3 years over Ferland at 5 years.

We just have to hope that other GM's see those point totals and fall for it.I like how the consensus here is Kerfoot sucks and should be dumped. Then he’s being thrown in along with Barrie to try and even up the value to get Horvat.

Nothing wrong with trying to fool Benning. "We know you're losing your 60 pts C, but here's a 40 pts C to help".I like how the consensus here is Kerfoot sucks and should be dumped. Then he’s being thrown in along with Barrie to try and even up the value to get Horvat.
It's Benning though.I like how the consensus here is Kerfoot sucks and should be dumped. Then he’s being thrown in along with Barrie to try and even up the value to get Horvat.
Are we seriously going to sit here and pretend Joe Pavelski didn't just score 38 goals, and has scored 60+ points every single season since 2010 minus the lockout year?Signing Pavelski to 3 years is like living paycheck by paycheck and buying a 15 years old Mercedes Benz.
HF in a nutshell. Man this guy sucks....hey you want him??? We'll just take a young stud off your hands. He's a Harvard graduate!I like how the consensus here is Kerfoot sucks and should be dumped. Then he’s being thrown in along with Barrie to try and even up the value to get Horvat.

My immediate gut reaction as well. Henchie for GM. That guy is one mean *** and he'll cut you! (that's a joke Hench, so apologies if I offended you. I'll delete it if you want me to.)

My point with bringing up EJ's awful form for the first couple months was that it was the part of the season where he wasn't a liability, that was the outlying streak; not the parts when he struggled.
I'm hopeful that he can bounceback, since my gut says EJ will never get bought out, but I absolutely want to manage his workload as much as possible...and relying on him to carry our top 4 through the downs that eventually hit every rookie blueliner's season just feels like playing with fire.
Tyson's middling play, on the otherhand, wasn't as bad as EJ & was offset but a lot more strong play. So that's a false equivalency you're drawing between their respective streakiness last season.
