I’ve always felt Matthews was a top 5 player but didn’t wanna be that guy being called a homer. Marner is playing amazing too, simply making it look like juniors all over again.

The one I have to start admitting I’m wrong about is Tavares I didn’t see the need and thought he would mess our cap up. He has been amazing and braught our team to a new level and even if he did mess up the cap it’s super worth it.

Well the Islanders sucked for his entire career there... they don't even have a freakin building. The organization is a gong show... what do you expect? You think he would've left if the Islanders were a championship organization worthy of a talent like Tavares? NYI was one of the worst runs organizations over his time there... can't blame him for wanting more.

He was playing injured for most of last season, this kid will go down as at least the second the best player of this generation.
