I'm not quite sure, I think his rights still go up to June 2020. I can't see a scenario where we end up giving him an ELC in any case so it's probably a moot point. He's essentially gone as a prospect in all but name.

Hipsterism pick
What happened to this "hidden gem"? Still feel the same about it;
So Arvid Henrikson committed to Lake Superior State University, does that mean we'll still technically have his rights for the next four years? Not that he's good or anything
CBA only mention retaining rights for four years when a player drafted at age 18 or 19 commits to NCAA max 2 years after his draft. He's no longer playing in the USHL..
The NAHL... first time I see that league mentioned.
Is it any good ?
Not that I thought Henrikson was still relevant in any way to us, but still...
Yeah well, it’s not as if there were tons of players drafted after him that will have careers in the NHL anyways..Wasted pick
There was this 9th rounder once.......While we've seen Habs do well in the 7th round like Evans and Primeau, and Stapley doing well in the NCAA this year. I would have added Addison in that list until he was injured all year last year and refused to report to the ECHL this year that lead to his contract termination. We mustn't forget that 7th rounders rarely pan out. I have no issue with this pick not working out.
