Good job to Kucherov. I can't remember the last time someone wrapped up the Art Ross before Game 60. Holy f***. The way he's playing, he's likely getting 130+ points if he doesn't get rested (I would rest him though towards the end).

You know what is crazy? Kucherov plays only 15:50 on ES which will definitely go way up in the playoffs. If he played on a team that wasn't stacked and just had the one good line he would get even more time to do damage.

It would be fun to see if he can somehow get 140 points. 22 games after this one. It would be tough but 2-3 games like this one and suddenly that doesn't seem too far. He would only have to play a bit better than his current pace of 135 points.

Kucherov is on a 135 point pace this season. If he slows down at point per game the rest of the way, he finishes with 121 on the season.

He’s on fire.

Probably Crosby in 13-14. He had 78 points and was 11 points ahead of Getzlaf on 2/18/14. Crosby would later win the scoring title by 17 points.

I don't think anyone else recently has had that kind of giant point lead. Currently Kucherov has I think a 10 point lead on Kane, though Kane's game isn't over yet.

Goals/game are a little higher this season at 3.05 compared to 2.72 in 2013-14. Crosby's season that year adjusts at today's scoring levels to 116 points.

That tells you what an insane season Kucherov is having since he's on pace for I think 130+ points and Crosby's 2013-14 was probably the most dominant post lockout art ross win until Kucherov's this year.

Over the last 2 years, Kucherov has 8 more points than McDavid.

Over the last 3 years, McDavid has 7 more points, but has play 8 more games.

Kucherov best player in the world CONFIRMED.
This place will explode if Kuch ends up 8 further ahead than where he is now versus McDavid and ends up with more points over the last 3 years. I knew it was close. But wow. Just wow. Perhaps Kuch really is the best player in the world - and not just right now.

Kucherov's competition is also better than Crosby's was that season. Malkin, Tavares and Stamkos all got hurt that season.

Remember when you thought Rantanen was going to hit 130 points? I member. Or arguing that IF Rantanen scored 30 more points than McDavid we should consider him better.
