If they get rid of Chia, McDavid could catch up - there's too much depression right now and losing the GM would be a huge pick-mC--up. They keep him, its Kuch's.

His junk team holds him back and he's starting to look disinterested in the season.
I'm a bit worried for McDavid (seriously). Physically he looks like he's aged 10 years in the past 2 and he really looks depressed.. Frankly he looks like he has the weight of the world on his back. Not at all like a 22 year old multi millionaire should look like.

If McDavid is depressed about playing a game for $12.5 million a year, he doesn't deserve to win the Art Ross.

Or perhaps he can overcome this adversity and win the Ross. It might be the feel good story of the year.

Most blame upper management.

Not sure who else you would pin it on.
And yet there are hundreds of posts calling for Chia's head. You do know that firing Chia won't make a damn bit of difference? Just like firing all those coaches didnt. Chia is just a small part of the problem. Firing Chia is like putting new tires on an old clunker of a car. The new tires won't make the car run better.

It's not being updated after every game more like every few days unless someone has a big game and moves up several places.

It's been updated now and follows nhl.com standings.

I don’t know if Mcdavid will win but this big break that they are getting should help Mcdavid fully recover from that illness. My bet is he goes on fire over the next 15-20 games and pulls ahead

According to CBC he's always suffering from one illness or another.

When he doesn't do well he's "sick", and when he does do well, it's "despite being sick". It's nonsense. Unless he's also the best at getting sick. Edmonton should find a new doctor.

I wonder what's harder to deal with Crosby under Johnston or McDavid dealing with chiarelli

If the Flames line can get hot again and score 3-4 goals a game like they were for a period, Johnny will take off. They've only been getting 1 a game for a while now. When they get back to 3-4 a game I think Gaudreau will take off and leave everyone in the dust.

Some people catch the flu more than others despite it not making sense, it’s just the way it is

I think CBC just screwed up their graphic. McDavid had strep throat, which is a throat infection that causes fever, sore throat, headache, nausea and vomiting is how that is supposed to be read.

However, it does seem he has gotten sick a lot the last 2 years.

Yep, I've had it. It was the worst illness I've ever gone through by far. I couldn't imagine leaving the house, let alone playing a professional sport.

I've heard about McDavid illnesses nearly as much as the rest of the league combined. It's strange.

It's rare to catch the flu more than once a year, and the average adult gets the flu twice per decade. According to Google anyways.
