I would bet he gets a game as others have gotten in the past. The league does not want that type of showboating on another head injury
The league already said there would be no action to penalize Asham further because he didn't know the severity of the injury when he celebrated. If you start suspending players for this then you have to start penalizing celebrations in general. Asham was celebrating a knockout punch in the heat of the moment, not that Beagle was hurt. He sure as hell couldn't have known Beagle was bleeding like he was. When I played I got into more than a couple fights (I always liked to compare myself as 'a mix of Arturs Irbe and Theo Fleury, without the talent...yeah, I was a goalie, and I was/am short, and I tend to be overwhelmed by emotion when I played), and the one time I one punch KO'd a guy...you're god damned right I celebrated. I don't know how anyone doesn't celebrate in a situation like that in the moment right after it happens. Of course once you realize the guy is actually hurt you feel pretty ******, but hey...it's hockey. If you don't want to fight, don't drop the gloves.
I refuse the word taunt in this situation. Taunting is to do the action towards the player/team, Asham was doing it away from the player and towards the crowd.
