Pissing off Oiler fans has got to be one of my favourite pastimes

Not sure exactly what's in the water in Edmonton, but the inferiority complex is real, at least in this forum. No Flames related thread is safe, any questioning of their team is grounds for pure salt.

If our pool sucks (which, okay, it's not the greatest pool in hockey)... just look at:
1) Our pool has a first-team rookie.
2) Our pool has a top U-22 Dman.
3) Our pool has a top 5 goalie prospect in the NHL
4) Our pool has had AHL level success (playoffs)
5) Our pool is helping win games (main roles) in the AHL
6) Our pool has arguably the most interesting prospect in college

It's a weird one. And again, the Flames pool isn't even a top 5 in the NHL; but it makes the Oil one look really bad.

MB likes two things

1) Fourth line grinders/Third pairing dmen
2) Albatross contracts

It's not a big surprise this offseason contains both these things for MTL.

Price is worth that cap hit. The Canadiens aren't even a playoff team without him.

He certainly has a fantastic agent though


I actually like this trend. Star players, the ones that people actually pay to see, get the lions share while the fodder like the Brouwer's, Stajan's, Bouma's, are pushed to the periphery and start getting their true value.
