I think RNH could still develop into a poor man's Backlund, if coached properly. But it'll never happen in Edmonton

For anyone who hasn't already heard, Dave Semenko just died. May have been an Oiler but he was a hell of a player gone too soon. RIP

Ennis's contract isn't anything to write home about either. And Pominville outproduces him too, especially 5 on 5. So why give up Scandella for nothing really?

Marcus Foligno is a pretty good grinder, too.

I'm confused about Cammy. He was really good with Henrique and Stempniak two seasons ago.

Apparently he went 41 games with only 1 goal, which is inexcusable for a player with that cap hit

Cammy was absolutely atrocious last year in NJ. His skating seems be worse than even a year ago. I am sure some other team will throw a 1 year at him, but I wouldn't want him back on the Flames. He just isn't that effective anymore.

He won't comeback, because Sutter isn't here anymore.

But he might just need a change of scenery.

If I was Treiv, I would definitely be checking in on Cammy. We could use some more experience upfront and it could be a good fit for both teams. Although one of those low risk, high reward situations. But Cammy for under $2m on a 1-year, I'd jump at.

There's many better cheap scoring vet we should look at over cam.

williams
sharp
hemsky (if healthy, if)
even hudler really. excellent 5v5 primary points rate despite a pitiful 3.3 shooting% last year

But I think he'd be a better bet than vrbata, marleau, gagner and just about every non-qualified RFAs. Grigorenko and Yakupov both look like 3rd/4th liners

Apparently Eakins is interviewing in Arizona.

Given Chayka's "analytics mean everything" approach, and Eakins "I coach with analytics" I wouldn't be surprised if he got the job.

Cammy wouldn't be able to keep up imo. His skating was poor before, and it's only gotten worst
